Well I've been thinking. Since all platforms (even PC) are getting DLC this time.. why not do something, different? Say, you buy a FoC/Prime/Whatever Kup toy. It comes with a code to unlock Kup for download in your FoC game. You get a toy, and parts for your FoC character. Seems a bit better then what's going on now.
Oh god, Hasbro would rape this idea to death. But considering I like toys, it could work in my favor quite nicely.
I to, would become broke. I like toys too. May be expensive, but you get something "physical" and, it also gives reason to some people why to buy the toys in the first place :v
Oh god.. I could see it now.. "Red Alert DLC Code: $50 on Ebay" Code and toy at your local store.. $25?
Well, I guess they could always release it as a separate DLC.. but eh.. it worked with Skylanders, and all you get is a plastic statue that does nothing. At least with Transformers, you'd get an actual toy, not some paperweight.
If by better you mean a better way for them to empty your wallet, then yes. I'd prefer to pay my $10 for 5 characters as opposed to paying $70+ for the same five.
Don't worry, I'll stick by the idea. After all, if it were FoC toys, then I would be buying them anyway, the DLC would be a bonus.
Well yeah, isn't that why we're all here? I jest, I know what you're thinking. Just as a fan of the games, I wouldn't like being shoehorned into buying a ton of figures I didn't need if I were to want all the characters in my game. Sure I'd want to get my favorite bots but my compulsion to have all of them in-game would surely turn out bad for my bank account. I'd propose doing both, sell them separate and also include DLC codes in the packages as incentive for people who buy them.
Same. That would be a good idea.. I have a feeling Hasbro is going to do it, maybe not with FoC (It's a tad bit too late), but with another Transformers game.
Well, the model worked fantastically for Skylanders. Not sure how much crossover there is between toy buyers and video gamers in the FoC community though.
Okay. I'm just gonna say it. HELL YEAH!!!!!!!! But then they'd have to make a lot more toys, unless they didn't make toys for the already-confirmed DLC. And then you also wouldn't be able to play matches with people who have the DLCs you don't, since they wouldn't be on-disc.
i really like the idea, they only need to make 5-10 figures with codes, that way you could either buy the figure or 2 you really like and play as them for say 10 bucks each or just buy the dlc with all the characters for 12-15 bucks or something.
