Yes! I thought that Soundwaves upper thigh looked bit skinny from a previous pic in another thread, but I was wrong. Sideswipe looks so nice! They both look spot on  

 

Damn he's small! But I guess that makes sense, just wasn't expecting it.

Car mode looks amazing, but bot mode is boring as hell.

 

is it just me or does sideswipe seem.... small.... for a masterpiece. I was like O_O when I saw him next to Optimus...

They do look fantastic tough! Now to get them here in belgium... I dont know ANY store that sells tf masterpieces here sigh

About this size?

 

For some reasons, I'm concern with Soundwave upper thigh connecting to the ball joint and his feet paint application. I can see those 2 areas will get paint scratched or scuffed easily during transformation.

 

Now 3rd parties can start making rubber tires for MPs since Takara went hasbro on us and put plastic tires on an MP figure. I think that takes away from the look the MP style having a shiny plasti wheel that makes noise when you roll it. For the price of the figure they should put rubber tires on it..
Soundwave and Laserbeak look amazing though, can not wait to get them and ill buy the other two as well since the MPs are one of the few lines i collect anymore..

would have preferred sideswipe to be a touch, just barely a touch bigger but looks great, glad i preordered. may get another after release if i like it as much as i think i will. it does appear to have plastic tires though which is my only real disappointment with this figure

soundwave is like 95% awesome and also preordered. feet are weird.

Alts/BTs had fantastic alt modes, but the bot modes were typically half-assed at best. MPs are going for a look of accuracy in both modes, not TFs that can pass as model cars. Different lines, different aim.

 

I had to do a doubletake on MP soundwave in cassette mode. I was like, is that the G1 one?

True, but some of them could qualify as nice mp stand in's. Mirage mold, swindle mold, subaru mold, tracks mold, jazz mold, and to some extent rumble, look great as bots and in car modes plus for half the price. So I could see where some might have complaints in regards to opening doors, trunks, and molded interiors. It would have been a nice plus, but eh what can you do.

 

Mp 12 being on the smallish side, i'm inclined to wonder how much Hasbro would price it at.

If there's a Hasbro version and all that.

I'm calling Hasbro Soundwave to have white paint apps instead of silver to be more cartoony like their version of MP10.

Other than that they look fantastic.

 

You may be right. Hasbro always does a mix up. If Takara goes G1 cartoon accurate, Hasbro sometimes goes Toy accurate.

In this case they look to be Toy accurate. So Hasbro most likely will do toon accurate.
