Just fantastic. Best final level I think I've ever played in a game.

So many great moments, lots of fun. My friends and I have had a ball with the campaign.

 

Finished the campaign again today after work. Noticed more things on the 2nd time through. It really is a great game, and feels alot longer and a hell of alot more details then WFC. Great buy and im REALLY enjoying Head Hunter! I was ranked in the top 200 of the world last I checked a few hours ago 

 

I got the game at 6pm on release and cursed myself when I looked at the clock after the credit roll and saw it was 3 am.


Damn glad I had today off, I'd hate to have used a sick day for a "Video game hangover".

 

Just finished it up myself and yeah! Totally epic!

I squee'd big time when it finally got to the grimlock level. I thought I'd grown out of the dinobots but HECK YES DINOBOTS! And the last level was epic. Especially the end fight!

(But that ending! Its not fair they should end it there xD I NEED MORE!)

 

Watched a play through on YouTube (I need to get a job to get a PS3 :,[)

DAT FINAL MISSION. MY ATHEIST GOD THAT WAS LIKE WATCHING THE AVENGERS THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY AND THE TRANSFORMERS TRILOGY IN TWENTY MINUTES. HOLY CRAP THAT WAS EPIC. ALL HAIL HIGH MOON STUDIOS.

 

One of those movie series is unlike the other.

same here hopefully it'll come today since I pre ordered it at gamestation (can't wait play as g1 optimus) everyone loves the ending so it must be good   thank god I've only seen spoilers up to cliffjumpers mission

 

Huh? That was in the second level. What are you talking about? lol

 

I found a complete playthrough online as I don't have a gaming platform that this game can be played on (my Laptop is barely able to run TF2 at high settings as it is). Very, very good campaign mode, everything looked a lot more polished and well built in FoC compared to WfC lever design wise, much more distinction between enviroment and robot this time around.

What I loved best, however, were the scripted elements such as what enemies would say, such as;
"I...I think that shot might have hurt him!"
"I don't think you even hurt his feelings!"

And then the whole scene involving Starscream and the Combaticons right before Vortex's level...solid gold comedy right there.

What I liked about that moment was the fact you had to keep doing it repeatedly. It was overkill on such a grand scale it couldn't be anything but hilariously awesome.

When I saw them erect that statue mere moments after Megatron's re-ascension to Decepticon leadership (complete with TFTM Galvatron quotes made more epic), it made me think of that one episode from Fairly Oddparents involving Atlantis where the Atlanteans flip a giant statue symbolizing their hatred of Cosmo to reveal another giant statue that looks the exact same but targeting Timmy Turner instead, despite only having declared war on him less than five seconds earlier.

So... you have to replay each of those missions from the beginning? And they are about an hour long????

This might be the breaker for me. I can't stand multiplayer, but if I can't jump in at a point to replay the bits of missions I enjoy... that sounds like a pass on FOC for me.

Wasn't too happy with the demo. It's too bad. I loved WFC. But I'm fed up with High Moon Studios. I'd rather have something sandbox than a shooter. Their next release will probably be a forced online deal, a la Diablo III.

Crap I hadn't noticed that yet. I liked that in WFC! That's going to make some achievement hunting for the campaign based ones that I missed take a little longer!

 

I think the reason they removed the checkpoint select is because you could complete the campaign on hard just by completing the last checkpoint

 

You would think they could set it up so the achievement doesn't trigger unless you've completed the full level on hard (all the checkpoints). Oh well. Guess what they did must have been the easier solution (for them!).

 

Just beat Jazz's level last night. WfC was incredible - FoC blows it out of the water, really. Can't wait to start playing some 'Con levels tonight!

 

Can you at least replay certain levels??
Like can you go in and just do Grimlock's level over, or is your saved game locked in to one point in the story?

Matt Tieger, you make me very, very angry. Sure, give us new features, but don't take any of the good ones away.

 

You can at least replay full levels. It will erase your last checkpoint though. So for example if you are currently in the middle of chapter 5 and want to go back and replay chapter 2 you will have to restart at the beginning of chapter 5 the next time.

*Siggh*. After I played the demo I went back to WFC from there and I've been happy with that.

You know what? I've been searching and I can't seem to find a decent list of the Campaign levels for FOC and the corresponding 'Bots that you play them with. All my search hits are pre-release speculation. Is there a list on this board?

I understand you can't play as Shockwave, but do you fight him as a boss?
