OFC Activision goes the same route as Capcom. At the end of the day, it's the publisher that put High Moon up to it. These assholes do it with just about everything else after all, why not milk money off G1 fans by offering the retro stuff as "DLC" amirite?

So you know you've been overcharged once, and have no problem being overcharged for two more installments of 10 bucks each then I take it.

The only reason complaints *seem* to be going no where is because folks like you say "why complain, there's no point" and others legitimately DO NOT KNOW this shady activity is ongoing.

Really... you ask gamers what DLC stands for... virtually all will say DownLoadable. Few if any would even know or understand that there's such a thing as Disc-Locked Content.

Think our DLC is bad? Thank god we're not being treated like the Sleeping Dog players.
    Sleeping Dogs on Steam

Pay real money, for ingame money for a game that's not even multiplayer, or online for that matter! Wanna unlock a few things ahead of time? Money money money! How about a boost to stats you could work hard for?

    It's raining money!

Who cares, they're just multiplayer skins. You don't like it, don't buy it.

I got my G1 skin. I don't give a **** about this pack other than to agree, yeah it's bull that they did this on day one.

I will be buying the Dinobots though. Especially if Grimlock is anywhere near as durable in Multi as he is in Campaign.

There's no way he'll be as durable as Campaign, he's just probably going to be dissected for parts for a Titan, and then you get to be a Dinosaur that works exactly like a tank.

If I could only have three things in Multi it would be these.

    1. a shield pump upgrade, on a timer of course. Something that boosts the overshield cutting damage either drastically or entirely for a time.

    2. More ****ing weapons. THe riot cannon is great in Campaign, when you have all fo the upgrades active. I for one love the Path blaster, higher rate of fire with better accuracy at range. But I like to use my G1 Op skin so I can't use the Path blaster.

    3. A limitation to flight. Seriously, I played on Multi today and everyone on the opposing team was a Damn jet. ****ing death from above until my team stayed under cover forcing them to try to fly inside of passageways.

I said it before, but I'll say it again: this is why there are only 4 Dinobots being released:(

Swoop gets his dino form in the preorder, and in the Massive Fury pack, he's not included. Why on earth would they not re-release that preorder? The best one? And the Insecticons are only three.
All the clues say we get the Dinobots for competitive MP. Sludge was probably left off because his dino mode is super tall, and he died.

So I guess how much replay value you get from the game doesn't mean shit then?

See, that's the flaw with these anti-DLC arguments. Too many folks lately judge a game's worth based *solely* on the total sum of the content available to it. No one EVER seems to stop and consider replay value. A game could be loaded with content with no locked away stuff, but if it lacks replay value and you're done with it less than a month later can you really say you got your $60 worth?

But if even just 6 months after release you're STILL jumping online regularly and having fun with the game then you've gotten your $60 worth. And if a YEAR later you're still playing it, then you've MORE than gotten your $60 plus the DLC's costs worth out of it.

And I'm a perfect example of that. I bought Street Fighter 4 way back at launch and played the hell out of it for a year. All the way up to the night before Super SF4's release. And I had purchased the DLC alt costumes that were in fact on the disc. And if anybody today were to ask me if I got my $72 worth out of SF4(game + DLC purchase), I'd give'em an emphatic 'Yep!'. And for the record I did the same exact thing with SSF4. The DLC only added to my enjoyment of the games and IMHO, ended up paying for itself with all the hours of replay value I got.

You don't have to like that the DLC is locked away on the disc(again, thank MS and Sony for that). But as long as the game is good and still has you playing it months to a year or more later with the DLC bought, then it ends up balancing out. Hell, you've got it even better if you're a PS3 or PC player since you don't have to pay a sub to play online.

Also, on-disc DLC just makes it a faster download since all it does is unlock it.

Either way, I'm glad we get the DLC and I look forward to it. In fact, I can't wait for it. Especially since then is when we shall discover whether or not we get competitive MP dino modes.

i feel, adding character parts to multiplayer does not add replay value to this game. on the other hand maps and escalation characters does. i think the real reason for disk locked content is because the devs moved on to the next game. the two reasons day one DLC is a bad idea is because it hurts the longevity of the game (also we get too much XP) and it bights a bigger chunk out of our monthly budget. paying $70, $80, even $90 wouldn't sting so bad if it was spread out by months, rather then weeks, or even days

i do feel cheated that we are getting less for the same price. would this DLC be the least bang for the buck on the market yet?

Who's using dial-up these days? My Internet connection is pretty fast.

Putting content on the disc is pretty evil, as normal folks are going to argue that they paid for it and other normal folks are also going to agree:/

    I'm not on dial up...

And would you rather be kicked from every match with a player using DLC?

Why do you need to be kicked? It shouldn't have happened last time. HMS, should have built in a filtering system, allowing those with DLC to play each other while those without it played one another.

DownLoadable Content, but the mislabling of it because in reality it's Disc-Locked Content is a BIG issue, and worth arguing. It's misleading and many consumers don't know the difference. Many think "hey I'm supporting continous additions to the game" when in reality you're paying for items *already* there. DLC =/= DLC when one is on the disc, and the other is taking up bandwidth and eventually installed onto your PC or console.

Would you buy a Blu-Ray disc for a movie that told you you had to pay an extra 5-10 bucks for director commentary, then another 5-10 Deleted Scenes, which are then split into three separate packages? I'd say folks wouldn't put up with that nonsense.

Or how about a car with an on-board system... that has zero functionality unless you pay the vendor to unlock various features. (This *was* actually going to be implemented a few years back, and was shot down quick. Don't recall which company tried this though...)

What do you mean not advertised, most of those damn characters showed up in almsot every multiplayer preview video.
