Is there some kind of trick to making the legs and all their little tabs plug in that I'm missing? It seemed like when I tried to put it together I was forcing it almost..

 

Resist the urge! There will be another release. Go with your gut and save your money. With $230 you can get both SteelCore and Assaulter and probably still have some left over. He is worth waiting for the next release.

 

No, I didn't bother trying to email them or anything... I figured at order number 836 I was lucky enough to even get in    . Plus the whole experience donating for Blesser really kind of set my expectations for how long this would take  .

But the weird thing was the figure came via UPS. I was pretty sure I checked for the standard shipping but it's been so long I honestly can't remember.

That is what I paid for my shipping and it was UPS not USPS.

For what it's worth, I just looked up the tracking number from my box, and it shipped August 9(or the label was printed then), arrived August 16. This seems longer than usual for UPS even from the West Coast to where I live.

Further, the return address on the UPS label reads thus:

FANSPROJECTCORE
(phone number)
THE LETTER CARRIER
(address in Washington state)

Looking up "The Letter Carrier," it's a small business that gives a US address for people living in Canada who want to order things online, then holds the package for those people(presumably to avoid import fees and taxes).

So it seems clear to me that Canadian company Ages 3 & Up(who seem to be running the store end of FansProjectCore) sent the SteelCores to this company to be shipped from a US address and save money on shipping. I think the bottleneck in distribution can be traced to this company The Letter Carrier, which seems fairly small and is likely unused to sending out this many packages.

 

Shipped mine back today to get a replacement.

I'm patient so if it takes a little while I'm fine, but I am curious to see how long it will to receive it considering how long its taken for some people to get theirs and the fact that it took 3 weeks to even get a response about the broken parts

It's funny, the wait is so ridiculously long and absurd at this point that my interest in the figure has pretty much died before even receiving it.

 

but Im sure it will perk back up again once you receive it.

 

I doubt it, I watched the transformation video a few times and I find it underwhelming. I like my figures complex (like Defender) and this one definitely isn't. More excited for Assaulter.

 

Maybe I'm out of the loop here but we haven't seen Assaulter's (supposed) 3rd mode yet have we? I kinda want to see that.

 

I thought that too, but once you have him in-hand your opinion will change greatly I believe. Personally I am so glad I bit the bullet on this one and got one I think it is by far one of the coolest 3rd party TF's and on top of that he fits well with my blue motorbot (arcee) and I just couldn't be happier about my purchase.

 

#714 arrived yesterday and I love it! They did a very nice job on this guy. Looks even better in hand. He totally has a Wrecker vibe to him.

 

I'm feeling the same to be honest, feeling more frustration than anticipation. As you say, once it does arrive I'll feel better about it. However people receiving theirs as far back as July 17th (think that was reported) while other people are sat wondering if/when theirs has been shipped isn't the best service, over a month for 800 items? Having to pay $49.99 for international shipping (with no tracking number provided) should mean international orders arriving a lot quicker than they have, though that's the shipping company's fault not Fansproject.
I will order from FPC in the future, they make amazing products and am more excitied about their releases than standard Transformer lines but I really hope they smooth things out for next time.

 

I feel the same way. I'm pretty close to cashing in on the figure and rebuying it later.

Assaulter, though, looks awesome.
