I wonder how they repaired the controls for the time machine after they were damaged. Maybe Optimus had Ratchet help via radio link from Jasper?

Also I wanna know who was driving the Mobile Headquarters at the end there - Cody or Frankie? :)

Neither, they don't have a license and Chase would of said something about it if they were driving illegally. I think Heatwave was driving.

I did really enjoy the interactions between the rescue bots and their alternate time line partners. Especially Blades and Dani because they had that whole role reversal going on.

Also I was a bit confused why Charlie turned them in at all when he turned out to be part of a resistance.

Another thing I've always been confused about in this series is why Cade, Dani, and Gram are all close to the same age while Cody has a huge age gap between them. Cody's maybe only about 10-12 years old but his brothers and his sister are all some where about 18-22. Maybe they're fraternal triplets. (fraternal they wouldn't look alike and they don't have to be the same gender. That's only with identical that they would all have the same gender and look alike.) I don't think they've ever said who the oldest was or even who the youngest was, not including Cody. And I would think when they didn't know they had another brother that whoever was the youngest of the 3 would of said something to the effect of "You mean I'm not the youngest" or "I could of had a little brother?" I know I had that reaction when I found I wasn't the youngest in my family. (Mom had a miscarriage a year after me. I am the youngest living but I could of had a little brother or sister.) Anyway pretty much everyone except Cody could only be a year or two apart an then Cody has an 8-12 year age gap.

I finally got around to watching. That was an awesome season finale and the most exciting episodes of Rescue Bots yet. I was wondering if the Mobile headquarters would turn up in the series. Too bad we didn't see that much of it.

Dr Morocco using that Youth Chamber was interesting. I wonder if we'll find out more about it like how he got it (I doubt we will but I can hope). So if Morocco was 40 when he got that machine and he got it 50 years before 1939, he must be about 163.

Definitely a couple of episodes i'll be watching again and again and even hopefully on a Blu Ray season set someday. Optimus & Bumblebee guest starring. A mention of Decepticons. Frankie and Doc Greene discovering the truth. The evil Morocco coming back and enough Morbots to keep the military busy. It was a lot and it was all put together nicely. An average episode with less action is entertaining enough, these were premium grade. The Burnses and RBs got a new Mobile Response Unit big enough to house everyone as well. Even if the wait is on for RB's 2nd season, Prime's 2nd season is about to kick back up again, so no delay in new Transformers.

That was the most thrilling episode of Rescue bots. It's straight out of Back to the Future, but with more time on the alternate timeline.

This episode showed how great the characterization of the characters are. And it showed how I really got to care for them as the season went on. Both unique and likable. The Burn's family's heroism was able to shine, even with their altered history.

It was nice to see how Blades das changed from the Blades we first saw flying with Dani. It was also nice to see Doctor Greene and Frankie learn of their secret. And the team gets a new toy to play with, the mobile headquarters.

It was great to see Bumblebee and Optimus show up. It was about time they both stepped in to help a bit more.

Doctor Morroco seems to be shaping up into a more interesting villain than previously thought. I wonder how much they can develop the character. The man's sights seem to have shifted from some monetary gain to straight out conquest. I wonder how the events of this episode will affect the main timeline's Morroco.

After thinking about it for a while, something occurred to me- while they never explicitly stated it, Doc and Frankie MAY be decedents of Elma Hendrickson (a chance of it anyway), and if not she played a vital role in inspiring Doc, he took his daughter's middle name from her after all. So it occured to me that, when Frankie told her how important she would be, that Elma was a thorn in Morocco's side that he removed from Griffin Rock one way or another, distorting Frankie's family history- the reason they never bumped into her dad in the alternate timeline, either he never existed, maybe never went into science, ect.

Also, whatever happened to Mrs. Burns may've happened on both timelines, whatever it was. That version they just didn't have Cody.

Oh and I know they couldn't outright imply it, but I mean, they had traveled to 1939, WW2 was starting (the US wasn't directly involved until 1941, but they were still concerned with it) and it was pre-Civil Rights. I know the north wasn't as bad as the south, but Frankie and Cody hanging out would've been seen as very strange- then again if Griffin Rock was advanced enough to have a female I'm guessing African descended scientist before then so maybe Griffin Rock was better than most places about it(also, in that time period most schools still wouldn't have let her in to give her a degree, both for being female and for being non-white, so... how'd that happen?)

I know I know, I can't really expect any of that to be more than skimmed over by a kids show, and I can't really expect historical accuracy that has some of the tech they do way back when.

Oh wait, I just thought of something- wouldn't it have been great if that device Morocco was going to use to tear them apart had not been able to pierce their armor- that would've been awesome. And I think showing ~10 year old Mrs. Neederlander who is probably in her 80's in their regular lives, shows they probably live in about now, as Prime is also taking place about now thats kinda a point towards them taking place congruently rather than the alternate theory that RB takes place later in the Alligned continuity family.

it was an awsome season finale. I was wondering when the Greene's were going to be in on the bot's true identity.

He did say trample. I watched it again just to make sure. Chase says some really good stuff.

    Ditto.

All the episodes were very good but these last two just blew me away. Damn good in my opinion.

Well, Cody did seem to be sitting in the driver's seat. I kept wondering how his feet were reaching the pedals :lol . And he really didn't do much driving. Just in and out of the portal real quick.

There were famous and educated folks of African decent in the west before civil rights in America - Samuel Taylor Colderidge springs to mind. I'm not hugely up on the whole thing but wasn't it still possible to be properly educated to a high standard in America in some places more than others if you were not white - just obviously harder some places than others. or did things like the scolarship programmes only start in the 60's ? I just get the impression that if you had enough money it would be possible even pre-60's. The USA Military would have trained some people for example pre-1960's in things like Medicine. And it's quite Possible if she was a physicist she could have been educated in the Britain or even some of the Eastern European states that were big on Physics in the 20's and 30's.

I think in all likely hood though they are just saying that it was possible in the world that Rescue Bots exists in - it is after all a world that has Anti-matter power and other things we do not have yet so perhaps culturally it's different too.

But yes I did have the same feelings - 1) they are lucky the time machines does not shift you in space as well as time - you'd not want the kids and the bots dropped in Nazi Germany circa 1939. 2) I suppose the closest there was to a racial comment against frankie was Misses Neederlander of the past being mean to them - but yes I suspect they simply didn't want to go there in a kids cartoon - just as you'd not want to mention what happened to Misses Burns either if it was nasty.

I'm kind of surprised there's not even been an oblique reference - they might slot one in their one day maybe like say Danni gets a date and something pops up - or someone says something about something not having happened since Misses Burns was Alive/still here - or whatever they decide to say.

I'd certainly like to know - there's something about chief that makes me think Widower though. and who know perhaps the reason they are all working in emergency response is due to something that happened to misses Burns.

But then - you never know she could just show up having been away at medical school or after interning at a hospital on the mainland as Doctor Burns and partnered with the new bot "Medix".. It's anyone's guess.

Thanks, now that I have had time to rewatch without HAVING to type what I think I'm seeing, sometimes my fingers and my mind just aren't in sync :D ...I made some corrections..calling it ALT. 2012. :D

Yeah, as for the dark, depressing Moropolis...that's kinda why I called it Gotham City....didn't want to go with the first thought of a Nazi Berlin look, but it did look that way....which of course, is more 1939ish. Yikes.

Somebody mentioned where were Optimus and Bee the whole time?.. My thought on that is they were very busy taking out numerous Morbot sentries..in the air and on land. In watching the episodes again, it looked like there could have been dozens of those bots to take out...probably took OP and Bee a while. Also, Optimus and Bee aren't guest star hogs, they know how to stay in the background and let the Rescue Bots shine. :)

In regards to why Doc Greene wasn't on the island in the alternate time line.

When Morocco first appeared in the series it was said that he was the lead scientist on the island before Doc Greene was even brought to the island which this episode also showed. There really shouldn't be any question as to why Doc Greene wasn't there. Because Morocco was never fired from his job he never had to be replaced so Doc Greene never had the opportunity to work there. He'd still be living on the main land where ever it is he lived before taking his job on the island.

Also sense Morocco rules the island in the alternate time line that explains why the mayor has a different job there.

The only things that really don't make sense are why the reporter guy was a taxi cap driver and why Cody didn't exist because these two things seem totally unrelated to Morocco taking over the island. Cody could possibly be explained by the age gap as he may be the only one who was actually born on the island in the normal time line while the other 3 kids were probably born on the main land. They decided not to have the 4th after they realized what a horrible place they had moved to with Morocco as the ruler. Even with that as a possibility the reporter guy even his dialog suggests that his career change has nothing to do with Morocco so that part at the very least was entirely random.

That was me and that kinda defies the point of having guest stars. The Rescue Bots get to shine as you put it in every episode. Of course I don't expect Optimus and Bumblebee to take the spot light away from them either. The point of the guest star is to get to see the interactions between them and the main characters. I felt like Optimus and Bumblebee were so distant from the main cast that it was almost like they weren't there at all.

The Bumblebee to the Rescue episode is a good example of what a guest star appearance is suppose to be like. Bumblebee had a presence in the episode interacting with the main cast but never taking attention away from them. This time they seemed to totally ignore that episode and the guys weren't as star struck as they were the first time. It was oh just another Autobot no big deal.

Oh and something I don't think anyone has mentioned. This is the first time in Rescue Bots that anyone has directly mentioned the Decepticons by name. They were hinted at before as "those who wish to do us harm" but this time when Optimus saw the Morbots he specifically said the word "Decepticons" before Heatwave corrected him that they were built by Morocco.

Dude, chill...it was a jab...a little joke. See the smiley? :)

They were 'guest stars'...Call it a 'cameo' if that works better for you. They were saving their strength for next weeks TFP episode. Hee.

It's not worth getting all worked up about.

What the heck are you talking about? Dude chill? It's not worth getting all worked up about? Are you related to that flight attendant from "Anger Management"? You know the one who tells Adam Sandler to calm down when he isn't even raising his voice or being aggressive in any way.

BTW It's Guest star not Quest star. Guest is a visitor to another person's home or a character on a show that isn't part of the normal cast. Quest is a task given to players in a game, usually World or Warcraft or other games of that nature.

I figured the reason Huxley wasn't a reporter in the alternate future was the despotic nature of Moropolis-- supreme dictators aren't too big on freedom of the press.

And maybe Doc Moroc married the woman who was going to be Cody's mom. Just a thought. ;)

Pretty good stuff overall. The plot is pretty straightforward and basic, but there's nothing wrong with that.

There was a bit of a higher merchandising feel to this episode (pair) than usual, what with slow-sellers Optimus and Bumblebee making appearances and AWESOME BIG MOBILE HQ OUTTA NOWHERE! - sure, go ahead and take it back to your timeline, ours is probably ceasing to exist anyway, might as well get some use out of it over there. ;)

I like that OP and BB got to be supporting characters, and didn't really steal the limelight. Bumblebee kinda hogged the spotlight a bit in his previous Resue bots appearance. It was interesting to me that they restricted themselves to beating on Morbots, as opposed to using Prime-style weaponry.

the Moropolis Burns family was nice, humble Cade and non-flyer Dani

What is with Griffin Rock science? They had robot insect teleporters in the fifties, and a working (though not powered) time machine before 1940. The community must have really slowed down or are easily distracted, or else there would be a Griffin Rock suburb on Titan by now.

Dr. Morocco is like the 'Demona' of the series now, with his near-immortality. Gotta admit I expected his recharge chamber would get smashed at some point.

    I wanna see a Mor-bot toy.

Everyone's funnier than Adam Sandler. Jack Nicholson is the only reason that movie is any good. lol

OK Back on topic when is season 1 coming out on DVD? This was the season finally for Rescue Bots so there should be a DVD set for season one soon right?

We've asked the question b4 about 'What's happened to all the advanced science in the GR community'??? They seemed to have quit developing anything outlandishly new in recent years....or else it's all tucked away in the whse and they won't let Doc Green touch it? :D

In the real world...Budget cutbacks could explain some of it, and WHERE are the other scientists??? Doc Greene is the only one RB showcases, but there must be others....not just their holograms.

Agreed, would like a Morbot toy for sure...red/gray and purple/gray.

    *************************************************************************
Also Garou: I thought about that after the ep aired, and came to the same conclusion, Dr. M wouldn't allow anyone to report anything negative--or Dr. M "approved", just based on Alt.2012 Charlie's comments about wanting to stand up to M, but no one had.

So far, we only know about the 5 (6 actually) ep DVD, releasing Oct 2nd. Since TFP Season 2 is releasing Nov 20-27th, kinda would hope RB would release in a similar time frame. That would be a nice Xmas present. But that's just a wild guess.

That and they probably had more resources and more of a incentive with the war going on in Europe and the threat of America being plunged into it.

Also I fear you are forgetting about Professor Baranovabut still it does seem strange why there would be only two scientists on the island considering the amount of inventions flying around...And how Griffin Rock is a testing grounds for new experimental technologies and gadgets.
Unless they import designs, blueprints, printed instructions and such from scientists on the mainland and Doc Greene produces those along with his personal creations.

Also are we saying we want More bots or Mor-bots :D
