True and it is obviously your call.

I do think that simply the large number of teams goes a long way to separating it from other leagues, though, and a flex position would bring the league more in line with how offenses are currently being used in the NFL. (Particularly with the development of the tight end and the move away from franchise running backs, as two examples.)

We're back to 16? Oh man.

I'd be a fan of having a flex position. We're going to be scrapping the bottom of the barrel for WRs.

That's what makes it fun! It's not fun when everyone has an all star team. :p

In 2009, my first year in the TFW2005 league, there were 20 teams and it was awesome.

Agreed. I actually love that it is 16 teams (with IDP) and have much less fun in 10 team leagues for precisely the reason you state. Still, though I did win the league the last time it was 16 teams, I would love it just slightly more with a flex position (which included the tight end).

Just to annoy you further with my whining, I do think that a flex position may also keep managers interested longer and more apt to play out the season. (As an example, it would be nice to be able to play your TE2 or RB3 rather than a potential WR5 or worse during a bye week.)

    I'll stop now. :)

I'll think about it some more for next season! :lol

As for the present Yahoo! league, I forgot to mention that if the settings aren't ideal for you and you don't plan on checking weekly or will give up halfway through the season, please do not feel obligated to stay in the league.

We still have 19 days or so left until the draft and there are some guys from previous years who are currently wait listed.

This Sunday, the 26th. I was going for 6 pm, to try to accommodate both east and west coast owners.

Any way it could be after this weekend? If it is the 26th, I'll probably have to miss it and I want to be there.

The problem is I work every-other weekend, and the only other weekend before the season starts is the weekend after this one. I work that whole weekend, friday-sunday.

We could do it this friday, maybe if it doesn't conflict with everyone. I think you're the only one having a conflict with this sunday.

no, 6 central, so that'd be 7 EST, and only 4 out west, so it's not too early or too late...

Maybe I am the only one, but at least I always show up for drafts. That's cool, though, if that is the absolutely only day the draft can be done within the next 14 days.

EDIT: Just an idea, but for the past few seasons, I've used doodle.com to set up a draft time for a league I run. Basically, you pick a set of dates and various times over the next two weeks and allow the 10 members of the league the opportunity to choose all of the dates and times that work for them. At the bottom of the poll, you'll see the number of people available for each specific draft time. I typically use the latest date that is available for all members of the league.

Of course, that is a bit more work than simply setting a time, but I always feel it is important for a draft to be as full as possible in order to maintain competitive balance.

Couldn't you do that with a poll here? I have two drafts sunday, starting to get excited.
