Some people just want to watch your world burn.

    Any police leads?

Pretty much. Cops won't be able to do anything without proof, and since there likely isn't any/since this won't be anywhere near a priority for them, we're basically in a situation on dealing with the insurance company & trying not to get screwed over.

Sucks to have to say it like this, but sometimes that's just life. :(

That sucks dude! Looks like it was a MX-5 Miata? Those can be fun little cars. Hope everything works out for you. I wrecked my S13 Silvia last winter and then someone did a hit n run on it in the spring. But thankfully it's still drivable, so didn't go through insurance cos they would just write it off and rip me off. Insurance really sucks these days. They used to do more to help you out. It's always a shame to see a good car destroyed.

they guy was actually quite honest by telling me that really theirs not much chance of pinning this on some one theirs so little of the car that was not burnt to the ground that to get any sort of prints would be impossible.

but people have come up to me with their ideas many pointing to a trouble spot about a mile away.

not fortmax but I did have a minicon and 2 botshots my GF got me as an alternative to a nodding dog. I also might have lost an Ipod that I kept in the glove compartment. (an oldie not a touch or anything super pricey) after that it was just loose items like a few shirts and some tools it will add up to a fair bit but nothing was that expensive on its own

yeah it was a 97 1.8 MX5 with the usual trimmings, Hardtop oem lip etc

I'm just freaking out over them paying out since the hardtop while a mazda item didn't come with the car it was a factory option that i put on myself. The racing beat pipe was also on the car and while it looks close to OEM its stainless so it didn't suffer the same fate and just pokes out like a sore thumb. So if they turn around and go hey this is not factory spec so suck it i'm going to be out around 3k rather then 1.5k and I'd have to get finance on a new car and really I dont want to have to take out a loan to replace my car because some ass torched it

Well, see? There's a bright side, at least you didn't lose anything valuable, and most of that stuff is easilty replaceable

Scumbags. Pity they didn't accidentally torch themselves when they did it.

Are the police looking into this? I hope they catch the culprit(s).

This is another reason I should buy a security system, a big dog, and a shotgun. :ev:

no and I wont be shocked if they dont when a car is this bad their simply is nothing to pull off. Dont get me wrong I hope they catch the A hole(s) but I wont be on the phone demanding CSI fly over to click and enhance my crummy phone pics every day.

Also I dont blame the police for not trying the local force has been slashed over the last few years and I'd rather they spend time on more important crimes then a arson/car theft case.

the insurance company did try and phone today I told them to phone at around 8 (when I get off work) but they phoned at 7:10 and agree'd to phone back at 8:45 but never did.

I'd be happy with market value as mint stock UK spec 97's tend to range from 1200 to 3k depending on the extras both figures are more then what I paid saying that I put in like 1.2k in parts just getting her close to show room finish.
