For those in the Yahoo! league, would any of you object to moving the draft date a day early to Saturday, September 1 at 1:00PM EST?
better late than never? I've re-activated the ESPN League for this season. I know 3 other teams are already re-committed, but I need to hear from the rest to insure that we have the full ten-teams before we can go! So far Runamuck, Predaking, myself, and our one off-site member have done so. That leaves 6. Please reply to this thread or the email to let me know!
Count me back in. Mailed you as well. Still wish I could have gotten in on the Yahoo league but maybe next year!
excellent! We're half-way already. The best time for me (to draft) would be the weekend of the 25-26, even though that's a week earlier than I'd have preferred.
ok, I'm just waiting on Shipwreck, Alex, SonicConvoy, and Prowl. I'll give them a few days, and if I've not heard from them, I'll open their teams up to new owners!
I don't know if this is appropriate as it's non-TFW2005, but if anyone here is member of reddit.com and would like another league, the official reddit fantasy football league (NarFFL) is currently filling up various leagues. It's a neat premise as there are two leagues, the Premier and Alt, with the 144 teams of the Premiers playing for a trophy and the thousands of Alts playing for a chance to move up to the Premier next season. The bottom two teams in each of the 12 Premier leagues are moved down to the Alts. The winner gets their name added to the Horn and mantle rights for one year! I'm a commissioner of one of the Premier leagues, so let me know if you're interested. Here is the subreddit, r/NarFFL, with a link to the sign up form in the sidebar. Awesome.
Depends on how long people take on the clock. I think it usually averages about an hour and a half or so.
For some reason I thought it took longer. Anyway I'm glad it's Sunday because I have another draft on Saturday that might have conflicted. Doing 2 drafts at once it's never good.
With the expansion back to 16 teams, would it be possible to switch the WR3 position to a W/R/T flex position? I don't know if it being kept at 3 WR slots out of tradition, but with that that many teams combined with the evolving offenses in the NFL, it would probably make managing more interesting in the league. (Basically, it would be nice with bye weeks to be able to fill that WR3 slot with a running back or even tight end rather than a wide receiver potentially ranked in the 50s.)
I've thought about switching the WR3 to a flex position but decided against it as it was one of the things that made the league different from other leagues. That and the IDP were two of the mainstays of the Yahoo! league that made it a different animal.
