A solid piece of plastic for the legs would not have been cost efficient, and the massive hollow spot like with the pictured RiD Optimus would have been an eye-sore (as it is with the RiD figure). As the legs are now, they have sculpted detail within, and beams and bars to make it less 'open'. Looks fine to me. It's a deluxe, not an MP.
Agreed, and personally I think the pattern of gaps Shockwave's legs have are actually kind of pretty. Just to clear things up though, that leg pic's from a Titanium RiD Optimus. I recognized it 'cause I have the Hot "Zone" repaint.
I'm not asking for a MP. I'm asking for solid looking legs that almost all if not all my deluxes have.
Isn't Shockwave the former, considering the gaps in his legs are used to tab into the cannon for his jet mode?
This. Really people complain to much today. I think he great. The only minor complaint is the size but all foc toys are smaller so he fits in with the line.
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but if you prefer his gun arm to be displayed with the secondary barrels only, the main barrel pegs into his back for storage.
Finally nabbed this guy. I really like him! His transformation has an addictive quality, unlike, well, all the WfC toys. The design is utterly fantastic, such a contrast from the afterthought second modes of other Shockwaves in my collection. I'm really feeling the lack of an ankle joint though. It limits him, no question. Also, the shoulder plastic has some weird smearing on it that shows up in the light.
Saw this Shockwave figure in both Walmart and Target last night. A bit spendy though at 13 bucks. At least I got to see something other than pegwarming Dark of the Moon Bumblebee figures

I also saw the new Jazz figure too but I didnt know what to think of the Fall of Cybertron Jazz figure. Also isnt the FOC Optimus figure the same from the previous Transformers Cybertron videogame from a year or two ago?
No, FoC Optimus is completely different from WfC Optimus. I bought Shockwave last night. He's an ok toy, but he's the first toy I've bought where his size really seems to bother me. He should be bigger. As it is he just doesn't seem intimidating.
So what is the Fall of Cyberton Shockwave figure supposed to be anyway? I know Jazz is some type of sci fi car but I dunno what Shockwave is when you transform him into whatever.
