I don't get the plastic quality thing. They're made of the same plastic as always. Maybe because the parts are blockier but thinner (as in hollow) due to the size?

They are using less plastic on figures.

I have been weighing them and there is a considerable loss of overall weight.

In fact most Classics figures weigh DOUBLE the Prime or FOC figures.

There's also the lack of metal screws and pins.

I don't have the FOC toys yet, but in terms of Prime, doesn't really feel that way to me.

Go hold a Prime Bumblebee in your hand. Then go Hold the Classics / RTS in your hand.

    You will feel the difference.

If you have a postage scale nearby weigh them.

I don't even see why what they weigh is such a big deal. I'm being honest here. Why does it matter how heavy it is?

Pretty much this. The original WfC figures just feel so much more...beefy in your hands. The only way i could justify picking up FoC Shockwave was to use a 20% coupon from TRU to get him. I like him, and I was OK with spending $10-$11 on him, but there's no way I'd spend $15.

As many have said, there is something about the plastic. Shocky's not terrible, but he's definitely lighter and more hollow-feeling than say, WfC Soundwave. Particularly, his legs are really bare. It's like, if he were wearing pants, he'd be one of those emo kids from high school wearing his girlfriend's skinny jeans.

    Tell that to drug dealers.

The difference in 1 ounce could be $300-$1000

I am under the belief that there is more recycled material being used these days, adn that might lead to a different feel.

I'd like to see them snort a TF Deluxe up their nose.

Lends new meaning to the term 'plastic crack'.

This is actually an unusual price increase compared to price trends. Which leads me to believe it's an adjustment to compensate from profit maximizing and inflation.

    To be fair

Because of the negative reviews about the size difference and lower quality plastic, I'm cautious about buying any one of these.

Where is a mod to close a thread when you need one. This thread has completely gotten out of hand.

My only problem with your posting is that you did a quadruple post instead of one post with four points... I swear, it's like multi-quote doesn't exist for some people.

    For the love of grammar...
