yes i'll be there with more parts than ever. if anyone remembers the parts party from last year in dallas, well multiply that amount of parts by 3.

lots of combiner (gestalt) pieces, individually bagged together. ex--all devestator robots, guns, missles and accessories in 1 big bag.

added some beast wars accessories
i'm bringing 1 g-i joe rhino tank--(misb)
also some marvel famous covers, and rare marvel legends
loose predaking , with head and gun only
2 big bags of omega supreme parts, ( tanks, track, clips, feet etc)
tons of tech specs, inst and some sticker sets as well
also i'm bringing an extra g-2 breakdown to sell - mosc ( i have one , my daughter has one, this is my spare, 350.00)

Is there a tentative time and place for this event? I am considering offering for sale some of my extra parts for the first time (it's always been trade-only in the past.)

 

What do people do that don't have a hotel room to trade out of? I have about 10 medium size boxes of stuff I want to trade, but I don't have a hotel room at the convention.

Also, what's the big night for trading? Thursday? I think there's events every other night.....

 

One year we tried to rent a room so everyone could get together and trade. But that was during the OTFCC era and they would not have it. Also the initial cost was very high to say the least. What we do is post on the bulletin board where and when (usually every night). There will be other parts parties going on but usually this is a big one. It spills out into the hallway with somewhere between 10-15 people. Last time I setup my stuff in the hallway and made a lot of trades. A few of the dealers show up and generally the prices are better than in the dealer room. Not to mention getting first dibs on the good stuff. I'll post some of the stuff I'm bringing as we get closer to Botcon.

I really wish that people would introduce themselves at this get together. After every convention there are always people on this board who say "well I wish I could have met someone from the boards there" Get off your butt and introduce yourself. Understand that some may think it childish to collect toys but think about it.... we all have the same childish interest. When else are you gonna be able to debate over a topic so close to your heart.

Hey guys...I'll be there this year and for the first time so will my wife! She's actually looking forward to coming and finally finding out first hand what all the hoopla is about Botcon. I'm sure I may get those looks every time I pull out the wallet, but I'd rather have her by my side than not.

As for trading, I'm sure I can dredge up some stuff. We have a room @ the Hyatt for only Saturday night as we're staying with family near by the rest of the week. I doubt I'll be able to turn my room into a 'flea market', but if trading is still occurring Saturday evening I'll be there.

I know off the top of my head that I have some extra Omega Supreme & Metroplex parts. Have to see what else I have...it's been awhile since I've done any parts selling/trading.

I also still have a good many 3 3/4" GIJoe parts (guns, helmets, backpacks, etc.)...think there would be enough interest to warrent bringing these along too?

Items pass G1 and G2, Yes bring them. One show I went to that is all I sold was my RID and beast machine toys. Have a few small toy sell in the g1 line. Different member so after differents line or go after one chacter.
