I got a Shockwave from the Glendale Target from the back using the DCPI number. There is still another in the back. (I would have gotten the second, but I feel guilty doing getting multiples from the stockroom.)
Can you explain to me how to do that in a pm or something, When I ride the bus back from IUPUI, I pass glendale everyday, and I usually go in on friday to see what they have, but It's usually a wasted trip. I've asked before, but it never seems to help.
Getting something from the back is a bit of a roll of the dice, and some stores/managers will have employees refuse any of these requests. (I have been to Targets that have put signs out saying they will refuse to pull items from the stockroom, but I haven't seen any of those in quite a while.) That said here are my general guidelines for requesting figures from the stockroom. Target tends to be the easiest to do this with because you can look up an item's stock status from the price scanners (although they are related to class/line and not specific figures.) 1. Have the UPC/SKU/DCPI number on hand (in this case 087-06-1890 for Generations deluxes at Target.) 2. Look for a salesperson who is either not busy or who asks you if they can help you find something. (The latter tend to be a bit more helpful in my experience, but I have had some success with the former.) 3. Be friendly and polite. I also tend to try and not be greedy. Even though I frequently pick up figures for friends, I don't want to look like a scalper and give them a reason to be mean and refuse my request so I tend to limit myself to asking for only 1 or 2 items from a case. 4. Be lucky. There is no getting around the fact that sometimes it won't work or that the item is not in the stockroom/cannot be found. Different employees will handle these things differently, and some will outright lie or make something up or just be unable to find stuff. I tend to just drop it at that point and try my luck again in a day or two. (Although I suppose I'd be a bit more forceful for a Masterpiece or exclusive.) I'm kind of weird when it comes to collecting and have this strange and silly sort of moral code when it comes to buying figures from retail, so I'm sure other may disagree with some of what I said. However knowing the info about the item and being polite are probably the most important parts. Anyone else have any other tips to share?

Has/is the Masterpiece Thundercracker out yet at TRU? I heard it was an exclusive there this time instead of wal-mart, and my lady wants to get me one to complete my seeker collection for my b-day. Well thanks for the advice about that. I only tried a couple of times, but I never had much success doing it. Having that information should help me in the future.
Kokomo Target totally reset today. 2 cases of FoC (grabbed one Shockwave) Weaponizer Prime and Bumblebee Optimus Maximus Also TMNT!
Avon Super Target - New FOC No shockwaves left (he transformed and flew away). Still 1x Prime, 1x Jazz left. Gotta hate the new price hike, I still bought the 3 though. Sigh. Weaponizer Prime and Bumblebee. Also that big Prime Cyberverse armor thing. 2 of those. They have the new Kre-o sets (no Kreons). Also have the new Star Wars legos and Megabloks Warcraft sets.
Fishers Target still has FoC Prime and Jazz (they put out the case last week). As of this morning, they had one each of Weaponizers Prime and Bumblebee, one Bot Shots Battle for the Matrix set, two Optimus Maximus, 2 each of the Knock Out and Bumblebee remote control cars, one Wheeljack + Star Hammer set, one Knock Out + Driller set (what's with those... $28 each???) and then other Wave 1 Prime figures. They also had the new Stealth Bumblebee, Prime + Megatron, and the two small vehicle Kre-o sets.
It was actual only 1 case (or else they sold a ton of figures. A Wave 1 case is 2 Shockwaves, 3 Jazzes and 3 Primes.) I stopped by today to grab the second Shockwave for a friend, but it was already gone. They still had 3 Optimus Primes and 3 Jazzes, but I took two Jazzes (one for me and another for a friend.) I'm pretty certain that Prime is going to be a major shelfwarmer considering there are 2 of him in Wave 2 if I remember correctly. [edit: Well it looks like there is a new revision of Wave 2 which consists of Prime, Jazz, Shockwave, and all 5 Combaticons. If I didn't already have Shockwave and Jazz and a G2 Bruticus preorder, I'd just be buying one of those cases right now.] The 9 Prime Bumblebees clogging the Prime shelf don't leave me much hope that we will see the next wave of Prime figures anytime soon at Target. In other sighting information, I saw that they had two of the new Kreo sets (the Prime vs. Megatron set, and the Stealth Bumblebee set) and the Bot Shots Prime & Megatron launcher 2-pack.
Alright, Greenwood Target's got some new stuff. They are: -FOC (I picked up one of two Shockwaves while I was there around 5) - Weaponizers - RC Bumblebee and Knock Out - Optimus Maximus - the Bot Shots 4-pack - 2012 TMNT toys
saw optimus maximus and the weaponizers at a kmart in....hammond i think it was? stopped at a few other stores and have come to this conclusion: Maybe there is a large group of kids that truly enjoy Bumblebee, but they must be the kids whose parents never take them to the store.
Lafayette KMart had that deluxe Prime Stealth Bumblebee or whatever. Two at any rate. Not sure what the case/wave deal is with that, but those of you that collect Prime Toys be on the lookout. And has anyone seen that new Wheeljack Legion class toy near Lafayette? The Marlboor paintjob I mean.

Bloomington, Target got their toy section spruced up last week in preparation for new toys coming in. I went by ten minutes ago, and picked up the last FoC Shockwave. They have 3 Jazz and an Optimus Prime. Wow, he's tiny. They also have Transformers Prime Bumblebees up the wazuu, and a Cliffjumper, as well as a Soundwave.
