Why is Bane Talia's bitch? Bodyguard and friend, yes, but not her bitch. He set Talia's plans into action but everything else was his own doing which he probably took enjoyment in (breaking the Bat then forcing him to watch his precious city burn, hanging the Wayne reps on national television, the stock exchange heist, etc). Basically all the dirty work Talia wouldn't be able to do by herself. I don't see how that makes him her bitch, if anything it added onto him as a villain. Also take consideration into when Talia told him to spare Batman near the end, and he disobeyed her direct order and started beating on him again. And by threatening I mean physically not mentally.

The whole plan was Talia's. The plot to destroy Gotham, I am fairly certain the stock exchange was hers, and to a degree, I think taking out the Batman was hers. How Bane did it might have been his idea, sure, but that's it. Plus, the disobeying the order bit was really nullifying by his really shitty death.

Look, I like Bane. I do. But he is in no way a better villain than Joker. Ledger had a better performance, and was more menacing because of his unpredictability in all his scenes.

Barely beat TDK's opening weekend record by 2 million. That's awesome.

That's disappointing, considering it was tracking $190 million before the shooting.

I didn't look in the credits, so I didn't know.

The blonde girl with Selena was Holly, right?

That's unfortunate. 161 million is still really good, but this movie was supposed to open much bigger. I thought and hoped it would make around 185 million to 190 million.

Yeah well the shooting caused a 40% drop Fender Bender over the weekend. Its no problem the film still has the months needed domestically and internationally to RISE.

I haven't seen the movie(and could careless about spoilers).I read a couple of the last couple pages to get a idea of it,with that said.

I'm i the only one that would of like to see this movie end with Bane breaking batman's back? That really is bane's clame to fame.Taila and Robin were unexpected.

Bane does break his back. But it would have been stupid to end the movie like that. No closure at all.

In The Dark Knight The Joker full fills the role of Bane breaking Batman mentally. In The Dark Knight Rises Bane brakes Batman Physically and spiritually.

Good. I'm glad she was included in the movie. She's kinda an unused character.

I agree. I :lol  everytime she is questioning Lau. It is some of the worst acting I have ever seen.

    Katie > Maggie

Just because Talia turned out to be the leader of the League of Shadows does not make Bane a henchman. They all have the same goals/beliefs and Gotham has been on their list of purging for decades. I am under the impression she enlisted his help to come up with a plan to destroy Gotham. She may be the leader but he was the strategist.

I don't see his decision to kill Batman as insubordination either. Bane knew that If he didn't stop Batman then and there, he was going to ruin everything the League had accomplished. Bane made a strategical decision that killing Batman would be the only way they could achieve their goal and Talia was too blinded by revenge to see that.

I feel kinda bad for Christopher Nolan and others associated with the film. One of the biggest films of the year will now be associated with the mass shooting. I just feel bad that a great film is getting overshadowed by a tragedy.
