Used to play football in high school, and was playing city league softball until my feet stopped working. I used to make fun of turf toe and plantar fascitis... Now I wouldn't wish either on my worse enemy.
I love dodgeball, something about hitting other people in the face with a ball is very satisfying. And I don't think either of those are sports.
I played baseball when I was really young. I started playing basketball in middle school but stopped when I went in High School because while I found it fun, I felt some people took the sport a bit to seriously. Seemed to take some of the fun out of it for me
I play 3rd base for my high school baseball team. We had a nice 9-7 record this season after going 2-11 the year before.
I play hockey with the kids. Not very good at the whole skating thing though. Basketball, Baseball, Football, Soccer, Dodgeball, and Yelling at refs during the boys games I am all very good at. Chuck
my dad's a pro at that i just hope he doesn't do it after drinking. as funny as it'd be to hear him yelling random things, i'd be a bit embarrassed
Heh, best I heard a ref get it was when asked when the ref was due because he just missed the last two periods. Still makes me laugh thinking about that day. Chuck
speaking of hockey, i got boarded today. neck is stiff. but i'll be fine. guess it turned out for the best because now i can camp on HTS all day tomorrow since i get to skip a day of hockey camp . the ref said i should watch my mouth though cause when i got hit, i was dropping F and S bombs left and right.IIRC, that was literally all i yelled for 15 seconds
Once in awhile me and my mates would just have a causal game of soccer. We would just meet on a patch of grass, set-up cones as goal posts and just have a kick-a-about.
^ I remember casual gamesplay. I've not done anything like that for well over ten years, but me and some pals or family would go out onto the big area of grass in our avenue and play football or cricket or just throw/kick a ball to each other. We had great roads too, perfectly segmented for playing tennis on. Or we'd stand either side of a road and play Kerby.
Indoor soccer. Had a grand final last night (won the qualifying match 15 minutes beforehand) and came out of it with major soft tissue damage on my spine and a dislocated shoulder. Great times
I play baseball with my pals in most seasons only one we don't play in is winter being as we get snowed like there's no tomorrow.
