Looks awesome. I have yet to jump in on MTMTE and R.i.D for whatever reasons, i guess i'm waiting on trades or 1 big compendium for each, but in spite of that i really dig this guy. He's a really good mold re-use, i could honestly seem someone turning him into ironhide with a new head

The head sculpt really isn't doing anything for me, but I like the over all mould. I'll pick him up if I see him, but he's not hunt worthy.

    More or less this.

The one nice thing is that, while on Rivet Duty, he mentioned to Rewind that as far as punishments go, that wasnt too bad-He used to be taller. I personally think it was a line added partially because of the toy he was getting, plus its funny. This is Swerve pre-punishment

Looks good, hoping for an Orion Pax repaint of this, like the E-Hobby's version (repaint of G1 Kup).

I really want this bugger. I like his colors and his head looks good, even if you can't see his mouth that much.:D

I had originally hoped that the Kup remold/recolor would be Gears, but after seeing Swerve in MTMTE, I am pleased with him getting a toy. This looks nice.

I do wish it was more IDW like but it still looks great and I can't wait to get mine. I'll go on a quest to find him.

I can't help thinking that if you put that head on a Tracks mold painted red you would have either a) a better Road Rage than the botcon version or b) a decent homage to Alt Swerve. I could probably turn around and put an Ironhide head on this mold - that's pretty efficient part-swapping :D

I like the color scheme on this mold though. I'm not reading IDW at the moment so I don't have any particular attachment to the character, thus this figure is neither a success or failure to me as it is.

I very much expect someone to make a MTME esque head for this guy, only a matter of time. Definite buy.

Gears & Swerve really need a mold to call their own, IMO. With more remolding or a third party "camper" to go in the truck bed it might work more. But as it is, it just screams "Kupp in red (and white)!". I am happy enough with Generations Kupp, and characters like Orion Pax or Electro might be able to get away with being light repaint/remolds of him. But Gears & Swerve should be a bit more...

High mod usability, fine like it is though, it's a definite want, but i would have to find it at a fairly reasonable price.

Not too worried about getting this guy right away... if he comes to the US like Hasbro has said, I bet he'll pegwarm. Of course, if he's a TRU exclusive... I'm screwed. Nearest TRU to me is at least 2-3 hours away.

No offense to anyone who loves it... but I hate Texas.

This is a good mold and the head sculpt is pretty nice even if I don't really feel like it fits well with this body. The body looks a little too tall and beefy to be a dorky absent minded metallurgist. The colors are rather fetching in both modes. Mechanically everything clicked into place but took substantially more effort as opposed to my Generations Kup.

When I look at this toy, I barely feel any "Swerve" vibes :-/

Swerve's robot mode is mostly WHITE! This guy's robot mode is mostly RED. So it just doesn't look like the character straight away.

Also, the head doesn't look enough like the character to make it any better. I mean, where's the distinctive helmet shape with the crest that sticks up? There is barely a crest at all, which means the head doesn't look familiar enough either. Considering they can't get the "head in the chest" look with Kup, the actual head has to look right, or there's no point. Personally, I think there's still no point in making any of the "head in the chest" minibots, if you're not going to give them their defining look.

I know Swerve is a very minor character from G1. But it barely resembles him to me.

Agreed. The colours and head are pretty cool to me, and a Swerve is a Swerve, as far as I'm concerned. I only started reading MTMTE recently, anyway, and don't have the attachment to him that others may have.
