Don't read Harry's review at Aint it Cool. He spoiled the whole damn thing and apparently hated it too.
At least me an Ironhide are abiding by the rules and posting spoilerish post within spoiler blocks ...
I think i'll have to avoid most news about this movie until I see it. It's too easy to have stuff spoiled in random comments. Once I see stuff like that it's usually all I can think about. Even if it isn't directly spoiled some comments even hinting at stuff can be enough for me to figure it out and still technically be spoiled.
Man I am so ready. I'm seeing it Mon or Tues, hopefully the 23rd. I don't want to wait too long, but I'm not putting up with weekend movie-goers. Just need to remember to get in early to secure the back-corner seats. Best seats.
SO what is the perk of seeing it in IMAX versus just regular, besides paying double per ticket? It is not 3-D, right?
Is anybody doing the marathon tonight? I can't imagine sitting in the same theatre for 7 plus hours. I'm going to just watch Batman Begins and The Dark Knight at home tomorrow and watch The Dark Knight Rises at the IMAX on Saturday.
To my understanding IMAX has 1. a bigger screen, 2. higher resolution 3.better sound system. This explains a little more too - THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Features 72 Minutes Of IMAX Footage; New Batman Still Released
I've been reading spoiler-including reviews all day, and I've got to say - Harry @ AICN may be out there with how much he disliked the movie, but he's not alone. Lots of people are coming out of this disappointed. I'll catch this on TV eventually, but from what I've read, I've got zero interest in this now. Spoiler The ending(s), based on what I've read and how they're presented, sound very irritating and the kind of thing that takes me out of movies completely.
Surprised at Harry's super negative review. Only read the first couple paragraphs, and stopped when it was going to talk about the ending. Had no idea the day would come when he and Devin Faraci would both dislike a movie. Whatever, though. Still seeing this at midnight with a group of friends.
I can't imagine people would be crazy enough to park themselves for that long... ...oh wait, I forgot I'll be there.
