That's Riiiiiiiiight. I can't believe I forgot about that. I'm a lot better about the yellow on Whirl and Twin Twist.

    My highlights:

    - MP-Prime looks awesome
    - MP-Thundercracker, YES!
    - Voyager Blaster
    - Voyager Grimlock

    my letdowns

    - was hoping for more G1 - Season 1/2 Generations toys; I'm not so much into the FOC toys, a very minor gripe considering all the goodness that we are getting.

I can't believe my question about Prime Voyagers' weapons was shot down like that. They said "what do you mean the weapons don't look like anything?". Really, who like Optimus Prime's mechtech weapon that looks like a bunch of blocks stacked on top of each other?

^ That is having a major impact on my buying habits actually. Voyager MechTech weapons were great in the DotM line, terrible in this one. What are they thinking with those?

I consider the Tomahawk and Bludgeon molds movieverse, they do not work with Classic style heads. The G2 Megatron head is cool, it looks just like the original box art, but it should have been use for a new mold. The head for this repaint should have been a movieverse head that was G1/2-ish, just like the heads of Movie Voyager Thundercracker, Skywarp, and G1 redeco Starscream.

If I get Sandstorm he will be in my movie collection. Powerdive is awesome. Dead End and Laserbeak are cool but will rename them.

What they said is that these Mechtech are supposed to emulate how the weapons flip out from their limbs as they do in the show.

    Yeah...

Honestly, if we could lock them in extended mode without having to do major modifications, I wouldn't mind these so much. They would still be an eyesore in vehicle mode but I can throw them in a trailer for that. But when displayed in robot mode, I want it obvious that it is a gun, not a tumor. If they had just done that, I would have been fine with the clear plastic and light up gimmick.

I remember that too, come to think of it. But here's the crazy part: they already know how to do that. Look at RtS Windcharger, and FE Cliffjumper. Doesn't work with the long weapons, but then it's easy to make a separate weapon that blends with the arm (Prime RiD Vehicon).

If the weapon locked out it would be acceptable. If the weapon were remotely show-accurate it would actually be enjoyable. These are a disaster though...and this is coming from someone who bought like 60% of the PCCs and genuinely liked about half of the MechTech weapons.

The less they focus on Mechtech the more we could get larger figures. :p

Or fewer hollowed-out legs, etc. ;)
