That coupon thing has been known from before. All exclusives are exempt from the free shipping as well as the discount.

You must have ordered your exclusive last year together with other items.

I think last year they forgot to flip the bit on the coupon that indicated whether it could be used for Exclusives.

If you have both Exclusives and non-Exclusives in your cart, you still get the discount on the non-Exclusives.

It was a transitional statement. In the opening of my article I was referring to HTS's sale in general -- neither the title nor the intro was Transformers-specific, but at this point I'm wondering if either of you even bothered to read it. My whole point in writing the article was to highlight a handful of sale items I thought were noteworthy. Not all of them.

If gargunkle honestly thought I was not aware that you could do a TF-only sale listing on HTS, he (or she, I suppose) could have sent me a PM or posted a comment to the blog. Instead, I get snark thrown at me in a public forum. Belittle a fellow fan for trying to be helpful. Yeah, thanks for that.

Also, if you had some familiarity with the GATF group, you would know that most of our core Atlanta-area members are not exclusively TF collectors. We actually do a joint meetup with a local G.I. Joe collectors group and they are often more interested in Star Wars/superhero figures than Joes most of the time. Thus my reason for mentioning the HTS sale in general first before making it TF-specific.

Nope... I'm not familiar with your group. I'm in NC...

    EDIT:

Like what I mentioned, the other guy was responding to the portion of your post that says that you had sorted out stuff from the list as if it was so hard to do so. Just pointing it out.

No, it was just a mistake on part of HTS. You didn't have to order non-exclusives with the exclusives, I know I didn't and I still got the 20% off and free shipping.

I think it was mentioned before, but a local Target had Kre-O Jazz for $5.61, I think it was.

Wasn't marked clearance or anything and all the other sets came up full price.

All of their Star Wars Transformers were also marked clearance... only 30% off though for now, along with DOTM Voyagers.

True...I bought Jazz and Mirage, got them home and set my son at the table. He was extra good at grandmas house, I asked him which one he wants to build, he picked mirage. Opened it..figures missing. Oh well...opened jazz....figures missing.

I looked at these 2 boxes so close...my son was let down, I'm pretty pissed.

Can't stress it enough, if your gunna buy kreos, open them before leaving or going home.

This might be old but I don't have time to comb through the thread and wanted to get it out there for everyone.

Toys R Us has a pretty good deal on Kre-Os:

For one, they are buy 1 get 1 50% off for another week or two... I forget the exact dates. It seems to be in-store only.

Second, come of them are clearance -- Prowl is $9.98, Starcream is around $17.98, Sentinel Prime is $22.98 (not nearly as good as K-Mart).

Got Starscream for $18 and Prowl for $5... definitely happy with that.

I've pretty much picked up this entire line on clearance in the last few days :lol  Just waiting for a good deal on Sideswipe and Ratchet. I saw Ratchet at Ross for $16 I think which really isn't that great a deal (imo, I've been getting sets for 50% off and higher so knocking a few bucks off isn't great.)

I also found Mirage at Wal-Mart today for $7, but Wal-Mart clearances are somewhat unique to each store so I wouldn't rush out or anything. Oddly, the box was completely open yet nothing was missing.

I took those Kreo sets back, and Grabbed ALL the Jazz and Mirage sets they had and took them to the service desk. I should have taken a pic. There about 15 of each. I went through ALL of them and only 2 mirage sets had figures. All of them were erratically taped, no consistancy.

The manager came over and once I DID find a set with bagged figures they were like "oh..I guess your right"

The manager walked back with me and pulled ALL the Kreo off the shelves and started looking, all were taped wierd.

She told me she is going to talk to her regional about it, And check the reciept log, and contact Hasbro. There was recently a guy from a milti million dollar software company that got busted doing a lego scam with barcodes and got caught with the reciept trail.

The manager thanked me, handed me TEN $3 off target coupons, refunded my money I spent on the 2 sets, and GAVE me the two mirage sets that actaully had figures.

Sideswipe is on clearance for $9.99

Hopefully someone gets caught. Check your boxes.

Do you have a DPCI for Sideswipe? It should be on the receipt. I assume it's $9.99 at Target?

And wow, that story is insane. Does this happen with LEGO just as bad? Are the Kre-Ons going for good money on eBay or something? I'm shocked at how often this happens.

I am definitely opening all of my sets as soon as I get home, haven't had the time to do it before now.

Thanks, Not to jumble the deals thread with my story, I just want to make a point to tell guys to open these things before they get home or the stores sell out and you get stuck with something missing pieces.

Just for shits n giggles I went on ebay and there are alot of Kreon figures selling bagged, by themselves. Im wondering if this happened before they even hit the states, there are listings on ebay for Kreons with 10+ available and most are overseas, but none that I seen in my area.

Its pretty LOW CLASS to ruin a $40, $60- even $70 dollar set just to rip out the stupid little figures..

Yes, I seen it at target for that price, but I didnt buy mine there, I got mine at Kmart. The ones at target all had the single slice on the side with tape, and some even took a new round "seal" and put over the one that was sliced.

I would have posted this sooner, but my iPhone died.

Today, Can someone please check their Kmart if they live near it? They have the big Kre-O sets and DOTM leader class figures on sale. Today is the last day for the sale. I am looking for a DOTM Leader Sentinel Prime and also the big Kre-O Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, and Sideswipe in undamaged/sealed boxes because people rob the little figures out of them.
If they have those items, I will pay you cost + shipping for them.

Sorry, I would have but I just got back from a wedding or I would have. If you are unable to obtain these items PM me on the next %50 off Clarence sale and I will check to see if they still have them which I'm sure they will because no one shops at aether Kmarts in my area.

I haven't check the online site lately but some if not all the figures were "currently" unavaliable

toysrus.com seems to be listing all transformers at buy one get one 50% off as an online only special. Seeing as its six in the morning where I'm at on the east coast -- I don't know yet if their stores will match the sale.

And I'm sure all of you know this -- but if you look at the toysrus website -- type transformers into the search field on the website rather than clicking on the sale link because using the search engine seems to come back with a much larger selection than using the sale link.

is it just me or are other ppl not able to get shoprunner on ToysRUs anymore?
Edit.... apparently all items are not available for shoprunner. You can filter a category on the left side by 'shoprunner eligible'. This sucks...

I had the same problem when I ordered my FOC figures. I've contacted TRU about it, but couldn't get through to their customer service line. I had to use their web form. I haven't seen any responses yet...

Anyway.. Weaponizer Optimus Prime and Bumblebee via Walmart @ $22.96.

Remote controlled Bumblebee and Knockout @ $19.96.
