Seen a lot of web pages recently that offer a free 360 if you sign up to one of their offers and then get a few referrals to do the same. Are these legit? Anybody else on the boards tried these to know if they work out?
Don't you have to sign up for a bunch of magazines and give them your credit card number ? I wouldn't trust them for a second.
it *is* possible to get one out of them, but the amount of work it takes is rediculous, my buddy did it and actually got it but he had to sign up for a bunch of stuff and just canceled subscriptions right away, ended up paying like 20-25 bucks in the end for a core 360
it work but it hard to find people to do the offer, my friend does that and he got free ipod and toher stuff
Do you remember the URL...? I got my PS2 that way, and I've been looking for one of those sites (since Gratis closed down/became sucky) for awhile. But, yeah, your buddy had the right plan. Sign up, get the points, cancel. $30 later, brand new system.
It can work, but you have to read the fine print verry carfully, as some of the deals you sign up with require you to stay subscribed for a period of time, so you can't cancel right away. The whole thing can be a mess, I personally wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole....
I'm giving one a try, as one of the offers is a months free at Screenselect which I was looking at doing anyways. So just 10 referrals away from a 360 with hard disk, wireless pad etc. I shall let y'all know how I get on in due course!
I got mine in the pepsi contest, hardly any work at all! I spent about 20 dollars on pepsi products, only to win off one of the free codes we got online
ah yes the good old pepsi promo, never got one that way either. and spent a couple hundred on the stuff too. LOL shoulda just went to best buy.
Since we're sharing Pepsi stories, my friend did the whole "Collect points, buy stuff" thing with Mountain Dew a couple years back. He would mainly just ask people for the caps with the codes and eventually he had enough to "buy" himself an Xbox.
