Yep, the shuttle is my G1 Skylynx. Really need to fix the lower section of him one of these days. In the last panel, the jumbo jet coming in for landing is Jumbo Saber, from Brave of Legend Da Garn: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1992%20Da%20Garn/SabersRobot.jpg He's part of the "Sabers" merge group. More info on them here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showpost.php?p=716476&postcount=379 The bigger jumbo in both the wider shots is Fire Dagwon. Here he is in robot mode armed with the Lian Sword, alongside Power Dagwon: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Sol_Fury/Brave/1996%20Dagwon/Firepower.jpg More info on them here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showpost.php?p=641265&postcount=34 (The Brave thread those posts are from are a great resource on the line, incidentally. Lots and lots of cool toys shown off there, I've done writeups on all but three of the series now).
I finally have the chance to read through all your funnies Sol Fury and I must say your stuff is amazing. Keep them coming I can't wait for the next episode. Almost makes me want to create my own stuff but alas my creative juice is pretty empty right now. Keep up the great work.
Great toys Sol!! Ive always wondered why the TF Zone and TF Battlestar robots looked like so different from the early releases ( which are from diaclone and micromen). Great collection of brave bots, awesome! Especially the Dai Atlas and Grandus predecessors. Must have cost you heaps!
Actually, Dai Atlas and Grandus came first. Goryu came out in 1993, three years after Dai Altas, and Dagbase was 1996, five years after Grandus! It was more a case of there being a different aestehtic in the toys at the time. ... but that's a discussion best saved for the Brave thread. Next week's is coming along nicely, so far I have a choice of four different strips to post, two done and two in progress. Going to build up a bit of a buffer again, just in case.
