Also to clarify now that I think about it,
General Iroh probably is Zuko's grandson; Zuko is 87 now, his hypothetical son (we know he has a daughter) would be around Tenzin's age. Iroh looks to be about in his 20's.

I think it could be his grandson? Because we know he had a daughter but I don't think it was ever mentioned he had a son

But just think, next week is the hour long finale, with more insight on Zuko included!

Also, since the finale is bound to show Amon's face for the first time, who does everyone think Amon really is?

    Speculation spoiler:

Amon has to be Bumi, Aang's second son. His motive is perfect, his revelation shocking, and in the one finale scene, we see Amon's hand, and his skin is shaded like Bumi's, from the picture we've seen. Not to mention it could play out that Kya inherited Waterbending from Katara, and Tenzin inherited Airbending from Aang, Bumi was a non-bender who felt left out and neglected, and then found he had inherited Energybending from Aang.

I'm still in the Amon is Tarrlok's brother boat. It would explain why he can resist bloodbending, and explain why Korra had flashbacks twice when Amon attacked her. Those visions couldn't just have been to warn her about Tarrlok. I have a feeling it has to do with Amon as well. Plus, they haven't set up anything with Bumi AT ALL. It would such a silly scooby doo moment just to unmask him and he's suddenly Aang's son.

And is it just me, or is Asami being set up as a mole? She had a pretty sinister looking glare at the end there...

Great episode! I mean you guys pretty much hit the nail on the head on every point. As for Asami's sinister glare I think she's jealous about Mako and Korra's kissing moment. You know teenage angst, but if she is a mole. Man, Team Avatar is so screwed.

I've been wondering about that since pretty early in the season. It would be really tragic, but it does make some sense.

    Holy crap....

Ahem. So here's my prediction for major events.
Amon is either Mako and Bolins father, or he's an air acolyte probably named Roan or what ever Tenzin named his second son. I suspect Amon is a man who made a deal with the face stealer, and that is why he wears a mask, so the face stealer cannot steal his face. I put very little faith in the Boomie theory. Korra will face Amon finally but will lose. Korra will have her bending taken away. After that, and probably for the first part of the next season Korra will have to delve into the spiritual side of the Avatar to understand what Amon is doing and unlock her bending. Something I've notice that I suspect is important, Amon does not remove bending the same way Aang did. Aang placed his hands on the head and the heart while Amon is merely placing them on the head. So I suspect his ability is not as finite as Aangs. Even if it is though I suspect the Avatar would be able to undo this. So that's why I don't mourn Lyns bending. I suspect she'll have it back by the end of the series.

I only wish I could change Lyns line to "I won't tell you anything, and no you won't."

Loved the episode. It's definitely building to one awesome season finale.

I'm liking Mako less and less, though. It's like he wants Asami to turn bad. LOL

Also, was I the only one who laughed at the line "CAR! Oh, we're good"?

^Bolin is starting to remind me of Miko..a character who doesn't do much except drop a lulzy comic relief-esque line per episode.

And I'm not liking Mako much either. He's probably my least favorite character in the show right now.

Mako is just making me really dislike him, he's basically trying to juggle two girls, and we all know how that will end up.

It's looking more and more likely that Asami will turn on them and rejoin her father, after a firebender (mako) breaks her heart like her dad's was broken with the loss of his wife.

I was really hoping they're drop Makkora and keep him and Asami together, much like how they didn't give into Zutara in the first series.

    .......
This may be weird, but I can't wait to see how Iroh and Lin interact.

Mako has been given too much room to choose. The issue should have been forced a while ago. I would have thought the military would have been called in a while back too.

Haha! Meelo, the fartbender! That was funny. I didn't catch the first half of the show today, but the last was pretty good. Lin on the airship was awesome. Iroh is an unscarred Zuko, that's neato. Can't wait to see what he brings to the show, besides an army.

Good theory, but quick question. Is
energybending a talent learned or inherited
    ?

Initially, no. But in the flashbacks this season, Sokka says there are many amazing benders out there, one who could fire bend with their mind, and blood benders who don't need a full Moon.

It's very possible that another unique bender out there could be able to energy bend.

This show never fails to impress.
General Iroh! Definitely has to be Zuko's grandson. Can't wait to see him arrive in the city. Can't believe Amon took Lin's bending. Though I'm glad the Airbenders decided to leave to safeguard it with how few of them there are. I'm curious about the name they chose for their baby, Rohan. I kinda got the impression they named him after someone but I don't recognize it from anywhere.

Great episode, looks like we're getting another descendent in the show then, either Zuko's son or Grandson.

I was surprised to see Lin have her bending taken away but I suspect she'll get it back, the way the lion turtle explained it to Aang made it sound like a battle of wills so it seems strange for Amon to just be able to take them away... Something will need to be revealed about Amon at the end of this season.
