NICE! I so wish I picked one of these up when there were some floating around, he's so hard to find now! He's probably the nicest looking Piranacon repaint, better than the original as well imo.

Thanks! The seller was selling him quite cheaply and decided to get him to replace my previous one that's kinda discoloured. Hopefully this one doesn't suffer the same fate.

My shelf, missing TM2 Prowl and Jawbreaker and Magnaboss, all of which will be here next week. No, I do not know why the Cybertron Scourges go on this shelf but MP Grimlock and the FP Insecticons go on other shelves.

I wonder if any of the kids that had Randy, Transmetal Megs or the Other GPS-afflicted figures back in the 1990's actually PLAYED with the toys?

I loved the shit out of my TM Megatron until it broke... I dug the rollerskating flying purple-headed t-rex thing. Like, if it was more commonplace, I'd totally try to get a Metals Megatron.

Similar story with Randy, actually. Had Razorbeast as a kid and lost it, bought Randy for like $4 to replace it... Then Randy crumbled.

I had a BW Grimlock (bought at the same time as that Cybershark, probably in 08-09?) that I drilled the guy on about GPS, he said it was fine, it wasn't. Dumped it.

EDIT: Metals Megatron breaks, too? Looks like I might get Armada Predacon instead? But then I'd need -all- the Armada Beast Wars...

TM megatron is the one i would have loved to see reissued for the BW 10th anniversary.

I had to salvage my pink megatron parts after he crumbled to GPS...now i have them in a armada predacon Megatron ...Transmetal meets Armada powerlinx!

    Heh, pink feet.

Also about the "did we play with shit" question, the only BW toy I really "played with" as a kid was the original Dinobot, and I guess the ultra class Megatron as well to some extent (although this one's still almost perfect with most of the wear coming from my 3 year old cousin who's made it like his favorite thing to play with when here's here), what with me getting the beast stuff at an age where I was getting more into collecting/hoarding & less into playing. That's actually why toys like Depth Charge & Quickstrike have little to no play wear on em (no really, I took care of these guys better than anything), and its probably for the same reason that we're able to find loose BW figures from people that aren't all destroyed the way a lot of G1 stuff is.

Since we're all in this thread then I've a question here for all you Beasties! :lol

Is there a particular BW figure that you TF/used to TF alot in the past?

    For me: Original Cheetor.

I must have TFed him for almost 20+ times.

lol@20 times. My Dinobot's probably broken the 200 mark easily if not more, and its a wonder that all of his joints (save the hands that fall off all the time) are tight as fuck. I was always careful when doing it, but still. Dude lived a warrior, and survived a hero. :)

Well, lets just say that Dinobot had quite a few fictional episodes to his name, many of which spanned several continuities & display opportunities. Then for the longest time, he was 2nd only to my teddy bear in many ways, and embodies my transition from kid to collector quite well.

The funny thing is that his assplate or whatever didn't break off until years later when I took him outa storage. Mighty glad to've found all his fingers, too.
