Was the elephant scene not suppose to be in the movie at all?

I've heard that animals do not have the same capacity for cruelness that humans do.

    Thank you! Seriously people...
That's true, but if you accept that the human death in the films is not real, then you should be able to accept the same fact about the animal death.

They could've shown him shooting at an elephant, scaring it off. I would've preferred the elephant death scene though.

Again that's bullshit, animal can be as cruel as humans if not even worse. We just refuse to see that because we put it in "aaaaaw they're cute animals that work on instict".

In the animal kingdom it's survival of the fittest and if you're not a badass you're as good as dead.

There are female's that would kill a mother and take their childern to raise herself or simply take them by force if she can't have her own.

Some parents will kill and eat their offsprings if it means their survival.

If you're weak and injured no body in the heard will stop and take care of you, no they will leave your weak ass to die or get eaten so that they can escape.

Leopards see their children as lunch as soon as they can run.

A male Lion will kill all of the offsprings of the previous alpha male once he defeats him.

Did you that Hippos, yes the big fat ones that kids love, are wantonly malicious beasts that have killed MORE people in Africa than any other wild animal?

Seriosly people see animals throught some thick Disney googles. Thay may look cute and fluffy in zoo park with a wall between the two of you but make no mistake they would attack and kill you if you as much step into their territory in the wild.

Seems like it would have been a bit unnecessary, in the end. Him shooting it accomplishes nothing and would've been pretty nasty to see. Conversely, Laserbeak shooting that buzzard was a nicely-done little character moment that neatly established this new guy as being a nasty little dick who enjoys killing for the sake of it.

The difference is humans commit acts of cruelty because we enjoy it. Animals commit acts of cruelty for survival.

The scene was better because he didn't shoot the elephant. Megatron was a softie in DOTM anyway.

I swear, too many TF fans think the only way to make something better is the add more violence. Y'all should look in the Prime forum, where everyone demands more torture scenes. HURR DURR this is so adult and deep because there's a torture scene.

Yeah that's easy to say living in the city laying down in your fluffy bed eating pork and drinking beer while typing on computer.

Try living in the wild for a while surrounded by animals and let's see how much you'll love say the bears then. I mean he's only chasing you and wants to rip you limb from limb to survive!

The way it was cut, it felt like it was supposed to be in it. But they could have cut it out for various reasons. Budget, explicit animal cruelty...

Then you never read what chimpansees, dolphins and yes, even elephants are capable of. Any intelligent animal is capable of sadistic cruelty that is not part of their instinct.

Dolphins and Orcas for example like to play with their prey before they eat it. Orcas like to take seals and then then throw them in the air a few times and then rip them apart then when they fall.
