The scary part is that everyone who commented on the vids never once talk about the fact he's killing another human being instead they only cared about music or lighting or something shallow. Figure the egotistic narcassist got caught while he was looking at himself on the internet.
Update More body parts found in grisly Canada murder AFP - Wed, 6th Jun 2012 09:00 PM More body parts found in grisly Canada murder
I've seen that and the supposed videos of him killing cats. Pretty gnarly stuff, good God. Crazy guy, man.
I just saw the 10-12 minute video. I find it strange how the dude was alive, then the camera cut off then cut back on in a different position with the dude already dead. You think he would have just kept recording while he was killing the guy, but he didn't. When he turned the cam back on the guy was clearly dead already as he stabbed him with an icepick, then proceeded to use a common steak knife to cut all the limbs off. Some articles say he used a pick axe to cut the limbs off, I never saw one near the body or even near the bed. Then to allow a puppy to eat part of the inner thigh was demented. does anybody happen to know if he ended up killing that puppy as well, seeming as how once a dog gets a taste for human flesh they have to be put down. I also find it strange how the puppy reacted as if he'd eaten a human before like it was no big deal. and what dude did to the body was gross, yet many people do that as a form of kink. (having sex or doing sexual things with a corpse) I wonder where the head is. seeming as how all the other body parts were found. Think about how many other freaks out there that do this shit on a daily basis that haven't gotten caught yet. or never will. your neighbors could be doing this, and you'd never know. *shivers* didn't this same guy kill cats by locking them in a tiny cage and covering them in gasoline and lighting them on fire? or was that a different dude? I've seen so much sick shit out there nothing surprises me anymore.
I agree. The way he went about it, he either did it before or....he watched somebody else do it. he didn't even break a sweat. no heavy breathing or anything. He seemed way too calm. Well he grunted a little while on top of dude but other than not not a peep. There is a vid floating around on a site called motherless.com of a dude stabbing an already dead homeless guy in the face with a very similar knife even going as far as to move the blade around and play with the wounds. (blood everywhere). never saw his face though. As I said, I've seen a lot of these types of vids floating around these gore sites. so it's hard to determine one from the other anymore.
It's a good idea to keep in mind cause and effect. This horrible thing happened, which we have no control over, but what effect does our sharing it have? With the same time and energy it took to share this story, a positive and inspirational story could have been shared in it's place. But focusing on something like this only instigates fear and further skews people's opinions of each other: that nobody should be trusted.
We can make sick jokes about it. That's the usual purpose of sharing fucked-up news articles here in the GD - to see who can come up with the most inappropriately witty reponses.
Pretty much, and it makes me wish I had enough "awake" left in me right now to come up with a good "In mother Russia!" joke to post. As usual though, I'll leave the dirty work to the experts.
We are what we train to be. If that's what you always do, that's what you'll always do. Think ahead to 10 or 20 years down the road. Do you still want to be the person who does that?
Honestly, if there comes a point where I've lost all sense of humour (even before I've lost everything else), then I'd at least hope that one of the people next to me packed an extra bullet.
I guess it comes down to what people think is funny and what isn't. For some people, nothing is sacred, for others, there are a few things that aren't to be joked about. Personally speaking, I couldn't bring myself to joke about this situation because that man who was killed has a family. Just because they'll never hear a joke you might make doesn't mean it's okay to speak it.
Fair point is fair, and there are things I'd rather not joke about as well. Those mostly extend to things I don't see being funny based on the audience rather than subjects themselves that actually offend me (rarely anything does when it's said in jest), but I get that some people view it differently & so on. However at the same time, I'm also someone who've very conscious about avoiding waste, and when I look at something like this, I see too much good material up for the taking. Along with that, much of it has a rather short shelflife (what with the "current events" relevancy of these stories having so much pull in regards to the reactions they'll earn), and then there's also the risk of writing material that's already been used up. That mainly matters on a professional level (which is part of why South Park for example works under such short lead times), but its also true on a mass/free market as well, especially now that everything these days becomes "old" before you can even send it to your friends. Might not exactly be the whole "send the whole Bison around & do something with the rest" analogy, but this guy seems to play by the same rules, so if nothing else, I'm sure there's somewhere to go with that one.
