This man's passion is inspiring! Matt Tieger needs to be enshrined with Simon Furman and Alex Milne as one of the greatest talents to help the entire Transformers franchise. You know....the opposite of people lime whoever came up with "action masters" or whoever decided that Tf Prime fans want nothing but Bumblebee on the pegs.
I really admire Tieg for his passion and genuine love for the franchise. I met him for the first time at Botcon and honestly, I wasn't sure how I felt about him, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because he has met and talked to so many fans, it is so difficult to maintain the excitement for each and every fan you meet. I have seen many interviews he has given on TFW for many different venues and now after seeing these last few interviews and after meeting him at Botcon, I can say that I am really glad that he has been a major part of developing WFC and FOC. I feel really feel that he is genuinely vested in the franchise and was not just a part of this for the money or to make a name for himself. I can honestly say that I have never been this excited for a video game in my entire life.
Perceptor is def in it . I saw pictures of him in the background of one of the interviews this guy did previously.
Isn't that what it is though? And in order to actually turn into a "car" instead of a hovering block in WfC/FoC you have to hold down exact the same button as RotF.
I always liked how RotF handeled vehicles mode. You use it to run away, move quickly ot avoid hits. It was a lot more fun playing and doing all kinds of crazy combos with that gameplay mechanic inctead of WFC where you turn into a slow brick with guns. Seriously I HATED how they did the vehicles in WFC. I never finished WFC because I hated vehicle combat that much.
Holy mother of me, that was epic. Metroplex slowly rising up as Decepticons run for it or get crushed in the joints. This game will rock my socks off so much!
Ah the old ROTF vs WFC debate. Ultimately I liked ROTF's better and it mad sense. This level is just like being on the Decepticon base that turned out to be Tidal Wave... Except this time you're not the one in trouble.
Shhhhh, we dare not bring the Armada game into this. It'll be all out war. It takes a lot for a franchise like Transformers to get a good game, let alone two, and while we may poke fun at his "Space T-Rex" mannerisms, I gotta say I am glad he's the one behind them. He could have easily just done characters from the movies and make it more commercial, playing off the hype of the movies for the game, but he's going deep, and I mean DEEP into the Transformers lore. Metroplex especially, he's not very well know, he had maybe, 1-2 appearances the last 4 years, one of which in Animated where he didn't do anything. But for Tieger to go that far for the fans, it does mean a lot.
As a jet and scout user on wfc, i say that the vehicles are definitely beneficial.. especially jets when you compare speed. The cars are also fast for quick escapes but the leaders and soldiers are a bit sluggish. What i didnt like about rotf is that you had to hold down the trigger to stay in vehicle mode and if your target wasnt directly in front of you, your vehicle weapons were useless (unless you locked on as a jet).. FoC will introduce boosting in vehicle mode so that should cover the speed problem for trucks but itll just make the cars faster.
Alt-modes are as useful as you want them to be, that is the benefit of being able to transform at any time. I transform often because I want to, not because I'm being made to by level design, scripted events, or any reason why I 'should'. If you want to play it like a traditional 3rd person shooter and not transform, more power to you. If you want to ram everyone into oblivion, go for it, its you're choice. With the exception of a few stupid racing levels, almost all TF games have offered this freedom. I don't think there needs to be a purpose for transformation, other than enjoyment, and combat technique. If anyone treats the alt-mode as a sprint substitute, they're missing half the fun.
I loved being a jet or a scout during escalation in wfc , I love going fast and taking lut people fast Lol I wonder what that tfp game 4 the wii will be like
Metroplex doesn't seem all hat big. I think Trypticon was bigger. Speaking of, even though it looks prerendered, his transformation is a major graphical upgrade from Trypticon's sorry excuse for an "epic" conversion. But then it just makes vehicle mode identicle to robot mode in gameplay. In ROTF vehicle mode was a weapon in itself. It had purpose, like the super jumps and advanced attacks. In WFC you could seriously play most levels just in robot mode. In fact, me and my friends usually did. In ROTF vehicle mode felt different from robot mode. In WFC it merely looks different. It encouraged fast paced gameplay instead of just swapping out one mode where you shoot and strafe for another where you shoot and strafe. What's the point? Exactly. That's why sprint is dumb for this game because that's what the vehicle mode should be for. You're still not a vehicle, just a floating piece of random crap.
