That's cool and hopefully it's as good as the Titanic converted 3D and not like Clash of the Titans.

    What TylerMirage said.

The re-release might rekindle people's liking in the series; maybe it'll warrant a JP4.

And for the record, I was kinda disappointed that JP3 wasn't based on the Chaos Effect toys. Those things kicked all kinds of ass. Hopefully if/when JP4 is made, it can make that happen. :D

The books, video games, and films actually did have genetically altered dinosaurs, but not as extreme as that Chaos Effect toy line did.

The fiction gets lucky and falls on a big crutch since it heavily involves genetic engineering and tampering.

Remember Frog DNA? That stuff that if it came from some African frogs could (and did) allow the dinosaurs to change their sex and reproduce.

Basically anything that isn't true to our real life dinosaurs is chalked up to In-Gen tampering with the Dino DNA or in the case of some, actually written that way. It all boils down to in-Gen adding in features to the dinosaurs so they get more "oohs" and "aahs" from park goers.

This is why the Velociraptors are the size of Deinonychus instead of chickens. Also, they may have traces of Troodon DNA to enhance their intelligence. Chricton got the two confused while writing the first book, so it's now explained by way of genetic tampering.

The Dilophosaurus was shrunk down to the size of a dog instead of being the size of a bus. It also now has that unique frill, possibly from a frilled lizard, and can split blinding venom from its mouth. This was done by In-Gen to make the animal more interesting to tourists (and possibly so it was easier to handle given it's original size).

The Pteranodons have teeth. In-Gen again.

The Carnotaurus has DNA from animals that can camouflage themselves like the chameleon. I don’t know if it has any from squids, cuttlefish, or octopods. This was actually an important part of the Lost World novel. It came from the book, wasn't used in the films (yet), and was used in the awesome SEGA shoot-'em-up arcade game for the Lost World. The Carno is a boss and can blend in with the enviorment, save for it's yellow eyes which give it's location away to you.

The Spinosaurus was just flat-out a dinosaur they made without documentation (doing things behind Hammond’s back just to see if they could, not questioning if they should).

Personally not all that interested. I absolutely love the movie but I'm not big on post-production 3D on anything (although Lion King was an exception).

It stands for "die in a fire". It's used by a grand total of approximately 5 people who think everyone understands it.

I don't really care about 3D, and even less so when it comes to rereleases - I even skipped The Phantom Menace 3D, and I love Star Wars. But this movie defined my childhood in many ways and was the first big movie event of my life, so I'd pay to see a theatrical 3D rerelease.

And as already mentioned, the main thing I'd want to see out of this is a new toy line and possibly a fourth movie.

I enjoy Jurassic Park, but I see absolutely no reason to re-release it in 3D. Doesn't help that I'm not a fan of the push to release everything in 3D these days. Though there are three movies that, for me, would be exceptions, but there's really no way they'll be re-released in 3D...For anybody curious, the movies I speak of are the three live-action Ninja Turtle movies (yes, even the third one).

Cannot wait! I love JP and this will be my first time seeing it on the big screen! I hope the 3D is actually good though. I was upset with the 3D for PHANTOM MENACE & TITANIC.

I'm completely psyched that one of my absolute favorites is being re-released, but, does this mean they're putting feathers on everything to make it more accurate?

    See below.
Google works, right? I've never run into another Internet person who doesn't know what it means.
If I were the person responsible for the current 3D craze, I gladly would. Even the best 3D sucks.
