Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to ask that you all pause in your merriment for a moment so we may partake in an installment of the old standby "Good Idea, Bad Idea." Good idea: Not being afraid to like a show such as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and sharing that love with like-minded people on the internet in a healthy way. Bad idea: This. A friendly reminder that the more reasons we give people to hate this fandom, the more people are going to hate this fandom.
What idiots. I mean, the mere fact all the ponies (and pony-like creatures in the show I.E. Changelings) have eyes that are almost the size of their heads and are more human/predatory in look than actual horses alone kills any sensibility in this project. As does Pinkie Pie in general. Forget the limitations of the normal pony skeleton, she breaks PHYSICS ITSELF. EDIT: Just checked out the DA group, against my better judgement. It's either one big trolling maneuver, or these are some of the most deluded people I've seen on the internet. The comments from the reasonably sane non-members are completely filled up with people pretty much going WTF or pointing out how the "logo" of this thing looks strikingly like a Swastika (no joke).
I remember reading that. I'll make the same remark here I made over on Facebook. *Ahem* Are they really that stupid? Anyway, they can do whatever they want. I won't lie when I say that I'm curious.
On a much nicer note, I finally just finished season 2, and was thoroughly impressed by the finale. Particularly in the music department. How it is that Glee gets all the accolades it does as a "musical series" despite having no original music while this show is ignored is beyond me.
...I think I died a little on the inside. In other news, I am seriously behind on this show. I think that last episode I watched was either "Family Appreciation Day" or "Baby Cakes".
After which we may purge the land with fire and salt...... Jesus wept, people like piss me off. I can't tell them to not exist, but that doesn't stop me wishing with all my power that they didn't.
