Any bot would have been take down by what Soundwave had fallen to.

Soundwave could have destroyed the Nemesis had he known it would have turned on the entire crew beforehand. 1 extra second. 1 extra second was all the time he needed. But nooooooooooo the Nemesis decides to rob Soundwave of his #1258670 badass moment. Needless to say, the Nemesis is a fuckin douche.

What was he supposed to do? Be immune to the stasis attack? How could he possibly know the ship could project it's attack via the computer console? How... how does thet even work, anyway? Is that just something the Decepticon computers can do? Shock the people who use them?

BTW, Megatron was also owned with the same ease. He would have been owned immediately, too, had Soundwave not been the unlucky first target.

It wasn't Trypticon. It was just the ship's computer with a voice, filling out the orders it had active at the time.

Just like Meta777 said, it took a goddamn sentient ship to take him down. That would be overkill to the other decepticons not including Megs and Dread.

 

The ship was to Soundwave, as Nemesis Enforcer's backhand to Snake-Eyes.

I saw that part it was pretty funny. Of least it was better then seeing no Soundwave at all.

 

Aside from that, the same ship took out Megatron with ease. Really, if Soundwave was more of a badass than Megs, I don't think he'd be following his orders.

Seriously, though, I didn't take it as seeing Soundwave being owned, I saw it as he is a Cybertronian like everyone else aboard that ship and clearly, that ship was beyond their resistance.

The only questionable thing about that scenario was, Soundwave has come off as incredibly intelligence and observant; I can't see him not knowing something bad would happen if he interfered with the ship after it threatened them. So it showed me that Soundwave is so loyal to Megatron, that he would willingly, and illogically risk his life to obey Megatron's potentially suicidal command, the second he gives the order? I dunno. Something about that seems off. I could see Dreadwing doing that in the name of honor.. but Soundwave seems more logical to me than that. Either that or Soundwave had no evidence to prove the ship wasn't making an empty threat and was happy to take the chance and demonstrate his complete loyalty to Megatron.

 

Well, to bring up another point on this, Soundwave was the 2nd bot to get stunned by trying to regain control via the computer. You would figure after the first drone got dropped that SW would have taken that into consideration before just lurching his tentacles at the computer without pause upon Megatron's whim. Then again, he is a very trained pet of Megatrons, so maybe it was just a natural reaction?

 

Soundwave and Megs are total bros. Soundwave figured that the risk was worth it if he could somehow beat the ship.

Megatron is goddamn lucky to have such a great friend.

 

It actually was pretty normal as it kinda promoted him beng a badass. It took the whole ship's defense to take him down.

 

I think it was so they didn't have to make another Villainous sue so they'd spared the fanbase.....

 

Soundwave got owned by the Nemesis.
The Nemesis got owned by Jack.
Jack almost got owned by Knockout who got owned by Ratchet....

The truth is, Soundwave is so pro, he should have known what would happen, but did it anyway. He's such an ass kisser.

 

Kylehudson is kaijuguy19's twin. He probably laughed at Soundwave's misfortune just because he trolled Arcee by sending her to the arctic.

 

The other possibility is Soundwave was arrogant and didn't think the ship could do to him, what it did to the Vehicon. Either Soundwave thought he could regain control of the ship before he was zapped or he could fight it off.

 

I do believe he got owned again this episode.
