Poll selections a bit loaded wouldn't you say?

Well I feel the show needs to add more permanent Autobots perhaps change things up a bit; kill one of the main cast or alter them in some way (Bb could start speaking).

That's funny. I watched Armada at the weekend, I just finished the first DVD. And they were hunting for Minicons and that reminded me of Transformers Prime where they seem to hunt for Cybertronian relics right now.

What? The episode Armada was awesome.

I have to agree with the need for more direction in the series. As some people have stated previously, it feels as if they're making it up as they go along.

I think they should go with what animated did, and have minor arcs, with major arcs happening in the background which come into the forefront near the end.

For example if they've planned out the season and they now who or what will be the major threat at the end of the season, they start giving clues to its development in the background.

In season 1 of Animated, Megatron's was the major threat and the episodes had scenes giving development to his return.

Maybe with an overall plan and framework; it can improve the pacing of the season.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the things I hope they improve on is the progresson of the characters. When I say this, I mean that they should be clear on where the character stands. They can show this through using flashbacks of previous episodes or sounding out remembered diaglogue in the background. Also they should be more consistent with the changes.

For example. If Arcee had gotten over her problems during One Shall Fall with her dialogue with Bumblebee and Orion Pax part 2(Where she says 'Thank you Starscream'), then that problem should not resurface at least without an explanation and emphasis on it resurfacing.

For me in particular, I want to know where the characters stand.

The way I see it, Orion Pax was problematic because it didn't seem to develop Optimus Prime as a whole. It didn't show any change in his personality. It didn't show what he learned from the experience.

Also I think they should add more development for the autobots.

Looking at some cartoons, the protagonists should have a lot of development.

Avatar-Aang gains a full range of bending abilities, learns to be a hero. Kitara becomes a powerful water bender. Sokka becomes a great swordsman and Zuko gaines new firebending abilities/new way of firebenging and joins the protagonists. Etc.

For Animated-Ratchet faces his past, recovers his lost friends, regains use of his EMP, regains his profficiency as a doctor. Bulkhead becomes an artists and is able to exercise his technical abilities. Prowl on the otherhand gains control of Mind over Matter, faces his past failures, becomes closer to the rest of the team, gains a love for earth's nature etc.

    i liked S2 better than S1
But even with that said...Prime has always been rushed and lazy. ruining many of it's onw good ideas.
I hope this show very close to G1: It could have been amazing, but it's writing is very dumbed down.

Have I mentioned already how silly I think it is to hold Animated up as the example for Prime to follow?

Common justification: TFA season one had a background story arc about Megatron building a new body, etc. etc.

Counter #1) A plot progression that can be summed up in one sentence without missing anything is not much of a "story arc," even if you drag it out excruciatingly across an entire season until it's like watching paint dry to try to follow the progress. TFA's advantage here is of dubious value at best.

Counter #2) TFP season 1 has an equally valid "background story arc" theme of unravelling the mystery of dark energon. Remember that? It culminated in the Unicron "mini-arc" at the end of the season. It was not out of the blue. That finale was foreshadowed WAAAaaaaay back at the beginning of the series with the whole "blood of Unicron" lore. Remember? Everyone did actually watch that, right? Season 2 has had a "background story arc" about unearthing Cybertronian relics. Again, no less interesting or worthwhile and no more tedious and banal than Megatron building a body. TFA's already dubious advantage is nullified.

This season clearly does have a focus and a theme. We don't know where it's going to lead yet, but sure, let's go ahead and judge it anyway. Whatever. It may not be much to write home about right now, but it's no worse than the standard fare in any other TF show. Stasis pods, minicons, Unicron's corpse, planet keys, Allspark fragments, Megatron's body, dark energon, Cybertronian relics. So what?

In the meantime, we have several sub plots still up in the air that I find interesting. It's absurd to say the MECH story was wasted when it isn't even over yet. It's ridiculous to say Airachnid's potential is wasted when the writers deliberately haven't killed her off.

Maybe the writers are lazy. Maybe they do introduce and resolve plot threads too quickly. I dunno. It's really hard to say when the audience themselves are too lazy to connect the dots between events, and when they keep declaring in-progress story threads DOA. How about we finish the season and then decide whether it built a decent story or not?

    Lazy writers

We need new characters bad! This is what makes this show so bad:
Killing Breakdown: We where just getting to know him in WFC and possibly FOC and PRIME and Breakdown got broke down.
Leting the bad guys lose all the time:
The Autobots need to take some loses. How are the cons going to not die?
    NEW CHARACTERS:
In the description for loose cannons they said that a legendary autobot was going to land on earth and that he would be new. Wheeljack is not FUCKING NEW AND HES NOT LEGENDARY! When you have a shitty roster of characters like this and you just kill off one character it only gets worse. This show is getting stale, half way into the season and NO NEW CHARACTERS! Take about lazy. *Imitates Jeff Klines voice* "We would rather save our money and time" I still watch this show just to see if the writers got off the fat ass's and brought a new character in in 6 GOD DAMN episodes. If we don't get a new character soon then I go boom! All we got is Dready and he's just a repaint! The next thing you know their going to bring in Iornhide thats just a repaint of Bulkhead and Barricade thats a repaint of knockout.

The only real thing that has been bothering me is how most major conflicts are being wrapped up in the same episode they started in. How everything is action and we lost out on the character interaction from Season 1, and how everything is moving along really fast.

Everything else I can just shrug off as just a tv show with certain limits. I'm not blind to the issues here and there, I guess I just don't let them bother me and take the show for what it is. Regardless of the issues, it's still fun to watch and I like all the characters. And I always enjoy a cool fight scene, even if some things are repetitive.

I don't think it's shit, I just don't think it's up to par like I know it could be.
