These movies aren't five hours long, at least they wanted to give him as much screentime as possible.

Um, yeah. Because it's a movie.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Im guessing the only reason you "probably" think Ratchet can't fight is because he's onbof few Bots that never got that chance in the. Everyone is titled to there own opinion so, I still know and think Ratchet has far more skills in combat than Swipe. Plus I hugely dought Ratchet would get kicked down like Swipe. But like I said before, most people just think he can't fight because he's never had his time on screen really. Im always willing to defend my favorite character like you would do towards whoever yours is.

You don't need five hours to break up the screen time for the Autobots better than what these movies did, but I've already said plenty about it.

Getting into consistency in regard to the fight scenes in this thread will send it off topic, so I'll just stop with my rambling thoughts on that. Regardless, I still 100% believe that Ratchet wouldn't have looked any better in that scene than Sideswipe.

Apropos Ratchet fighting, we haven't seen him repaird something when he's a medic. I like to see him repair something to know him better.

    He's dead, Jim.

Ratchet is seen fighting more than Sideswipe, and the two /have/ received roughly the same amount of screen time in battle. Ratchet does a helluva lot more than Sideswipe in all of the battle scenes for the most part. But Sideswipe seems a bit more trained and more flashy. Ratchet has experience, strength and sniping on his side though. Sideswipe is more likely to take the job of 2IC, but Ratchet is by no means the lesser of the two fighters.

I'm thinking the next movie is going to be a reboot even though they say it's a "reimagining" or hybrid. I think they'll bring back characters like Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave and Ironhide. They're core characters in the Transformers brand. If it is a direct sequel, I believe Bulkhead is the next man up even though I'm not much of a fan. He's becoming a name in Transformers, so he's more likely than any of the options. All in all, I'd still rather have Ironhide. He's a badass

On that list, I voted Bulkhead. He’s taken the role of “Ironhide susbsitute/replacement”, and it sort of fits him too: a gentle giant, not too subtle or silent but always reliable and of course a big gun.

Off that list, I completely agree with Chopperface: Ratchet MUST get his glory. Now that he, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime are the remaining members of the original crew, I think there’s now potential for such an underrated character to bust Deceptichops, or at least get a rescue action scene (my dream Ratchet action scene: he rolls out into a battlefield gathering up wounded Autobot/NEST soldiers).

Beyond him, I’d like to see Hound or Warpath.

    I voted Bulkhead.

Kup is among my favorite characters, but I think adding more characters from post-G1 mythologies would be a logical move.

Yeah no grimlock. I want warpath because we have already seen enough of Bulkhead in animated and PRIME.

They could always just pull some BS and bring him back anyway. Megatron had his spark blown to bits in the first movie, but it took the little German microscope all of thirty seconds to rebuild him. Ironhide's head rolled away, they could say it was saved and Ratchet built him a new body or something. Igor was basically just a head and was still alive, no reason they couldn't do the same to Ironhide if they really wanted to. He'll probably stay gone, but he could easily come back, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

From choices, Warpath: As much as I love Bulkhead, I think it may be too much to have him star in Prime and the LAM's. I think I'd wanna save Kup for Rodimus if we get him.

My choices: Brawn or just let the characters we have fill the role. Maybe it'll keep Bots from disappearing between movies. I miss Jolt.
