Good review but glad I have the FE andf you can un-pop the wings and turn them around to bring the wheels up to his shoulders but it looks like there is nothing you can do for his chest which is a shame.

You managed to be honest, and even though you did do some comparisons to the FE mold...you still gave the RID version enough credit (positive and negative) to make the review work. It wasn't 20 minutes of "FE Superior, RID Inferior!" ;)

I will still buy the RID version, two of them of course...and still have money left over to buy two Starscreams (Powerizer), and two Dreadwing (Cyberverse Commander) figures compared to buying just ONE FE Bulkhead. Now, if Hasbro decides to find a working brain lying around their company and actually use it...and the U.S. FINALLY gets the FE figures then sure, I will definitely buy a FE Bulkhead when it is reasonably priced. I can only justify spending over 100 dollars for a MP Transformer, since they definitely deserve it (I might end up getting a MP-11 Starscream since it looks so awesome).

I like having a FE and RID figure side by side, since it shows you how different they look, and how Hasbro can take money/resources to make a great figure, and then go the cheap route. We all know which is which in that comparison. lol Now, Hasbro has managed to make some great RID figures as well, that being Wheeljack, Ratchet, and Vehicon. It's just sad that the FE figures had so much effort put into them just to basically tease collectors and then release cheaper figures for their counter parts...with the exception of the Vehicon.

Enough rambling. Great review, and your Starscream Powerizer review was also very good as well. If the U.S. figures go the way of the Takara ones (stickers, ports all over the place), then I might have to stop buying these. Until then though, I'll enjoy what I can get at a reasonable price. These are just toys after all. :)

    ^^

Thank your sir. I think it's only natural for us to compare things to previous releases of figures. Especially in the same line. Which is why i didn't bring out Animated Bulkhead for example (which some people suggested i do because i recorded this video live on my weekly ustream). Like i said in the video, the biggest problem is that the FE figures really kinda showed us what Hasbro is capable of doing. It's hard to ignore the FE figure because they did do so much right. But i firmly believe that most people wouldn't have too much of a problem with the RiD figures if we didn't ever get those FE ones. That being said, my problems with the RiD figures, in terms of their looks, is still a valid point i think. This'll come out even more when i review the RiD Knockout, which obviously didn't get a FE counterpart.

So I have FE Bulkhead but I was watching your review and everything looked pretty ok... until you brought on screen FE. Really that made all the difference in the world- when the two are together there just isn't a comparison. He does still seem like a decent figure though and it's always fun to see different executions of the same character, but FE is the easy winner, just as clear as FE Prime is over RID Prime.

To be fair, RID Bulk isn't the only Gerhead in town. :)

Same with DoTM Soundwave. Absolutely not.

I'm also rather impressed with the review, to be honest. I like how a personal opinion is expressed, instead of the 'I said good things about this figure because I have to'. Others may say.

But I'll still go after FE Bulkhead. No matter the price...

    TF Prime Bulkhead (RiD)

This is my review of the main line release of our favorite strong man with a soft heart. Sadly, he isn't very up to par since the First Edition toy is out there.

My photo gallery of this figure is located here: Facebook
