Seriously, I'd wait for more pictures before we call it a terrible shade of yellow; lighting or poor camera settings can make a huge difference.

The paintjob on Prime is good, but it just isn't Prime. I would have prefered a regularly painted Prime with that used for the inevitable Nemesis Prime repaint.

 

Well I am a "G1 Junkie", and i have to say that I totaly agree with you. this movie is going to be a breath of fresh air and we need it, afterall this is an ADAPTATION of the transformers concept and the toyline would suffer if any of the new models were exactly the same as the originals. Dont get me wrong theree are times that i get a little crazy over alot of things 'untrue' to the original series but i am trying to keep myself reminded that G1 was in the 1980s and this movie, while catering to us the original fans, also appealing to the younger generations in order to keep The Transformers alive for the new Generations. I am very anxious to see how all this turns out and as a man working in the movie business myself its tough to keep my childhood and professional opinions sorted but im trying to keep an open mind.

Alternate Alt modes!

It Seems as thought the characters are going to be updated throughout the movie. I.E. Bumble Bee starts out as an older camaro then gets a new body. Maybe that would explain the differences in the expected alt modes and the new unrecognized versions. It would also be a good transition for G1 enthusiasts and the younger generation of t-fans.

 

The Optimus reminds me of that G2 figure, with the colours. Looks cool, good find though!

 

I felt the same thing when I saw this. Prime is BLACK now?? Mm..Would Nemesis Prime be RED in time to come??  

 

I love the truck itself, but the flames are still goofy. Maybe the robot mode will somehow awesome and make up for it.

Ratchet, if that's him, looks silly so far imo. Agreeing with all who said the same.

 

That's Inferno. The names were mixed up during production.

 

I really like all the atl. modes we've seen so far. The only thing I'm pissed about is the fact that we've got at least 3 GM vehicles and only one Ford. Then again, I'm not sure how you would work in a Freestar or a Fusion.

 

Awesome pictures. I have to agree that the flames are bad for prime, but it's not nearly enough for me to lose all faith in Bay.

The fire rescue truck is dead on. I love it. I really hope it faces off againt the Buffalo/Bonecrusher in the movie. (If you go on the buffalo corporate site, they have pics and vids to compare it to a humvee... it would be an awesome fight  )

 

Yes. It should obviously be a Nissan minivan, Dodge Magnum, Mercedes M-Class, or Lamborghini Countach.

 

I think they look great, then again I'm one of those fans who isn't wearing acid wash jeans, growing a mullet and driving a trans-am to delude themselves that its still 1984.

the long nose truck instead of flat doesn't bother me one bit. wish he were the classic red and brighter blue. but... i think i can live with this.

seen lots of yellow rescue vehicles. though, honestly... no one actually knows if that's actually a character yet.

 

1-Some of you really seem angry.

2-I like Prime's alt.mode. A classic color scheme will be better but I kinda like the flames.

3-Are you sure that's Ratchet? Hm...Good alt.mode, color scheme...yellow is good but it could use another.

4-What's that blue thing?
