Well I can't speak for others but i'm always dissin' on Steve for the things that can be laid at his feet like - fat man through window or leaving the stupid and pointless codebreakers in - or even that 2007 is over 2 hours long when there's probably a pretty decent 1hour 30 minute movie in there some place.. amidst the needless fluff like Sam being chased by dogs or hastled by a foolish policeman etc..


I've said it before and i'll say it again that Movie could have ditched the entire codebreaker subplot chopped several characters out completely and used the time and effort and money saved to have film the damn missing car chase properly.

Turtles "in Space" isn't a bad idea (It's an idea of the comics and shows that has yet to have been done on any of the Movies) but Turtles "From Space" is just a personal insult to the fandom and the franchise.

Those Dino-like-Aliens would be cool to have in a TMNT Movie - but how can the Turtles be from space and fight other space aliens on earth it just makes them look reckless like the Autobots do by carrying on a civil war in someone else backyard.

Besides if they are Aliens would that make the Movie T.A.N.T. (Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles) instead of T.M.N.T. (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)?

I don't mind if they make them A.M.N.T. (Adult Mutant Ninja Turtles) as it would be interesting to see them grown up. But Aliens just seems to miss the point it would be like making Cybertronian's a Human Invention via some silly time travel plot.

Sure I can adapt - I don't really bat an eyelid at the humans being inside the Autobots in Rescuebots (even in robot mode).. but that as they look like they are designed to be like that. and it certainly works better than it did in TF : Cybertron.

Is there a topic for the bay-urtles in The Movie and TV Area of the boards you could place such comments in - if you do let me know i'll read them with interest.

I would, but my comments are merely beating a dead horse. Other people have brought up a similar point (but mine comes with examples!   ), so it's not really like I offer anything really new. Plus, I'd feel like my comments would fall on deaf ears. If you're genuinely interested, I can always PM you. It's only a paragraph or two.

 

I'm always interested in Turtles I collected (nearly) all the Original ones and a goodly chunk of the Modern ones and I'll probably dip a toe in he newer stuff too.

Didn't buy any TMNT Animated movie toys though.

With how Transformers: Prime is turning out, I think I can make a pretty good guess as to who was REALLY responsible for the shortcomings of the last two movies...

... that being said, I am now officially terrified of this news.

 

I never would have imagined Transformers and Nickelodeon to be associated with one another but then again who would have thought Power Rangers would be on Nick. I just hope this could only be an improvement and not a giant mistake....

Ditch Ehren Kruger. Bring in James Roberts or/and Grant Morrison.

 

I liked Kruger's writing on DOTM for the most part. So I'm not upset he is returning.

 

So long as Saban are still making it surely it won't change much ? even if Ranger hopped a channel.

Shows have hopped primary channels before and many shows get repeated in all kids of odd places.

For example I can think of quite a few shows that have been airing on 2 unrelated channels at the same time (in the UK at least) Stargate was on Sky One and The Sci Fi Channel at the same time for example. Rangers was on Foxkids and CITV & GMTV all at the same time in the Uk - which was rather weird.

It's not so unusual for things to be on related channels though like BBC2 & CBBC for example. or BBC1 & BBC3.

 

Id love to see the transformers return to cybertron since they acquired the transportation tech from sentinel maybe they will return to restore cybertron...wishful thinking I know but Id like to see them leave earth and do something new.

The only way I'd care about this new movie is if they do at least one of two things: bring back Starscream and/or have female Transformers with prominent roles.

 

Not at all.   No one has to be excited by this news; we're all entitled to having our own opinions and anticipations.

 

It's not bad at all my dear. Even Modern Spongebob is better than any Michael Bay film.

 

Is THAT what you were looking for in the movies? Yeah, how'd that work out for you? Or do you blame them for the 3rd one too?
