This is what happened to Star Wars Battlefront 3 - Joystiq There is still hope the game could get released...but I lost that hope back in 2009.
They finished making the game and never released it?! This makes me unbelievably sad because I put so many hours into Battlefront 2. On the bright side there are rumors that we could still get a Battlefront 3 sometime soon.
I am absolutly shocked, they canned battlefront 3 near completion with a 4th planned, and we got Force Unleashed II and Kinect instead...
I never understood why they didnt make a game like this format for series like Lord of the Rings and Halo
Sadly its barely shocking from LucasArts. This is the same company that failed to make a Wii jedi/lightsaber game. Failing to capitalize on that idea is pretty much remarkable idiocy. They're also the company that canceled a Sam & Max sequel very close to the end of development. They really are a completely incompetent developer. Its so very sad that my most wanted game is a modern TIE Fighter sequel.
That's not sad, that's awesome. I'd kill for a modern continuation of that series, but it looks like that entire genre has pretty much died.
The sad part is that LucasArts is an awful company which will prevent it from happening. But oh, I would absolutely love to be proved wrong on this one.
I read this and thought so thats what happened to the game since their was so much leaked about it. I am hoping it will come out soon but like some said it probly won't.
