Aren't TRU charging $15.00 for Prime DXs now?

 

Wow, those Combaticons just look plain awful and I'm NOT talking about the colorscheme.

 

Going off the current rate of united deluxe figs at most sites ($37) you will be spending somewhere around $185 not including shipping. So about 200+ easily for a crap combiner with an awesome paint job though

There is NO pleasing this fandom, and while I would prefer the more accurate colored Bruticus we saw, people complaining the toy doesn't look exactly like the game model are just incredibly picky. It was never going to be able to make a toy look exactly like that!

The FoC stuff...except for Prime, look great for me. I still have my misgivings about Bruticus, but I'm gonna set those aside and get them since the colors are goddamn fantastic!

Prime stuff...meh. Gonna pass. I'm done with Prime once I get my Vehicons.

Everything looks pretty standard fare right now. I am a little disappointed in Bruticus only because of his arm design. I'm still holding out that they are not assembled correctly  

I look forward to the day when an amazing combiner, the likes of JRX, comes from HasTakTom again. I guess when it comes to profitability vs design, it is design that ends up giving first. If Bruticus's arms can be adjusted, then the will have come as far as I'm concerned  

 

As long as it comes in a box with Prime and Megatron's disembodied heads glowering at each other, i'm sold.

 

Colors are pretty subjective, I don't really mind them. Some people seem to be raging a bit much though. I would prefer the game color scheme though and hope they explain the change.

 

I'm mainly a Classics/ Generations collector and FOC Jazz and Shockwave have me drooling! FOC Optimus for some reason looks odd to me?

 

FOC is looking pretty good, especially Jazz. Those legs don't look as skinny as I thought. I also love the new Optimus, never got the original and I think his new form looks more "truck" like. The packaging also confirms that the figures will be part of Generations, but what surprises me is that the tech specs are as G1 as they can get without needing decoder glasses! Plus the card art is pretty swanky.

I am disappointed in Hasbro that it looks like the G2 colors are going to be the mass release, as opposed to the much better, darker colors on the original shots. Especially Brawl who should NOT be constructicon green. I will pick the Constructicons up, but they need to be repainted to darker tones.

Prime...meh, nothing much we haven't seen before. I don't even know what line Op. Max goes under, but I want that sucker something bad. So much detail...he's be the ULTIMATE repaint project. Hell, I might try to go the distance and make him Metroplex. Knock Out looks ace, though, love the car mode coloration, certainly going to pick him up.

I also dig the giant display they have of the different toys coming out of portals and fighting and stuff. It's a great callback to the old catalog scenes of G1.

 

I have to say, that spacebridge display for the Prime toys is pretty clever. It does a good job conveying that sense of chaotic action scene.

Looks like Shockwave's legs aren't as skinny as I thought they'd be, so that's a plus. Don't like FoC Optimus at all, and I'm still not sold on Jazz. His vehicle mode is okay, but there's something about the robot mode that isn't sitting well with me. Bruticus is an easy pass even in different colors.

 

Something about Jazz doesnt strike me right.

I need to see this figure in Hand.

 

I like the colors of Bruticus, just not the gestalt as much. Has that PCC thing where it's ridiculously thin at the shoulders and knees to allow articulation. That said I will be buying all the bots because I like the individual bots and you just know Fansproject or someone else will figure out fixes and drive up the aftermarket prices.

I have a question though, this FOC Prime's color scheme looks great, but is it a custom paint job or is the plastic actually metallic-looking?



Because I really dig how that looks.

 

The Bruticus set is what you want in hand when you're jogging at night in the wrong neighborhood.

 

Honestly, the new colors on Bruticus aren't that bad... It's just that they are WAAAAY inferior to the other color scheme we saw. If they don't release the other paint scheme, then I'm ok with getting this one. But I'm still going to wait a while, and see if they make one with the better paint scheme. As far as everything else goes, Optimus and Jazz are maybes, and Shockwave is a must have.

 

I'm not one to get all indignant and rage "HAAAAASSSSBBLLOOOOOOO!!!!!!" but seriously, I AM really saddened and disappointed by the truly, I mean truly, unlivable eyesore of a color scheme.

I freaking HATED when I was a kid and I STILL hate it.

Meh molds (and really I'm not exactly a fan of them) I could live with just to get a cool and OFFICIAL combiner. But I cannot and will not live with that BS acid trip hanging out in my bedroom display. Period.

 

Man, FOC Optimus, Jazz, Shockwave and the Combacticons are all bought on sight. Same for Prime Knock Out. I always hoped they would release a WFC Shockwave, and he's the best out of all of them. I dont mind the rad paint jobs on the combacticons, make them look more colourful, IMO

 

I was really looking forward to Bruticus, but I'm just not feeling those colors.   Hopefully Takara will come out with much better colors.

 

Bruticus looks fantastic. Love that throwback G2 scheme. Can't wait to find this in a store.

Hope there's some new, yet-unseen Cyberverse stuff on the radar for tomorrow.

 

I'm liking Optimus more and more now  

Shockwave is of course the best of the trio in my opinion, and that Bruticus....

Is...is that really the real deco?
What happened to that nice one we had before?
