I opened my Megatron last night, and the frustration of having a toy with no poseability that falls completely apart if you look at it sideways completely nullified the discount I got on it. Whoever engineered and play-tested these Titaniums needs to get pimp slapped for their idiocy.
Myth trip #2 was better than the first. I had cash to get my tickets and also stopped at the Maplewood Target. It appears as though they had the mis-priced 6" titaniums (I scanned a remaining 3" and it registered as $14.99) but they were unfortunately out of stock. However, they did have two Cybertron Unicrons. As I don't collect Cybertron I don't know if these are new, but I certainly haven't seen them around much. They also had some more of the redeco'd Armada Primes. Everything else was pretty standard.
Ok Big news today! I got my Nemesis Prime in the mail today! Woot. Also, for some of you out there. If you go to the Woodbury Wal-Mart you can find Mirage and Optimus. Even better is that they are on clearance for 15 bucks! RUN I SAY RUN!

Ridgedale Target has one Quickmix... checking the front page: I the only one who's frustrated that we're having difficulty finding an Optimus anywhere in Minnesota, yet there are apparently enough out there where people can have one for themselves and enough left over to paint em up? Maybe I'm just reaching the frayed end about this whole Alt situation. Ridgedale Target has an Alt Meister, so they DID have a Prime and Mirage.
I doubt my commentary will be very welcome here, but why don't those of you that really want Alt Prime or Mirage just order it from BBTS or somewhere like that? Especially if you preorder them, you just sit there, don't have to hunt or scour, then it just shows up at your door, usually with zero shelfware! All this for a measly $10 extra. A person could easily spend that on gas doing a good Target/WalMart/TRU loop. Okay, back to lurking...
You got a great point there, and I can guarantee you it's something we all consider. I think a lot of people are like me though, meaning stubborn. I keep hunting based on the principal. We SHOULD be able to find these things at retail, they are not exclusives or special releases or anything. Just regular toys. Any kid or person should be able to go out and pluck one off the shelf, but as it is it seems very few kids or collectors actually have one. Another reason I rarely break down and buy something online is because it never fails that I find it at the store DAYS after ordeing it.
So I just moved up here from Arkansas and I was wondering if there are ever any conventions with any good TF deals around the metro area.
I found Menasor at Fridley Walmart this evening. Sky Shadow still there. And these were the last two molds from BW that I didn't have, w00t! Met another fan tonight at the Midway Target. I found 6" Optimus and Megatron, and was going to check the price on them at the scanner a few aisles away. I found them last week at TRU, paid full price. Another guy saw me with them and was excited they were there. But only a Megatron remained on the peg. I told him they might only be $4.99, and that I would check. Price scanner confirmed the price. He had the other Megs in hand when I returned to the TF aisle. I handed him the Optimus and told him he'd like it a lot. I picked up the other Megatron.
I got the Quickmix, giant minicons, and tit Megs from Ridgedale target. One tit Megs left. Price of tit Megs = 4.99. Tit Megs is floppy and shitty, but it can be fixed with some skill and effort. Huh-huh. I said tit.
Found a Menasor at the Maple Grove Target. Still a Wing Saber if anyone is still looking. Anyone find a Primus w/Unicron Head yet? I saw one at the Minnetonka Kmart but there's no way I'm paying $60.99.
