I just got 6" Optimus Prime for $4.99 right outside New Orleans. He's a nifty little figure. So who is footing the bill for this? Was it a Hasbro mistake or a Target one? And what does this mean in the long run?
Yeah, I let price change know about it but it seems they really can't do anything but use the monarch to put the other size's barcode on the products so they ring up the right prices. I'm guessing one of us "in the know" team members should contaxct e-support so they can be alerted. BTW, I'm at the Carolwood Target, which one in the Tampa area are you? Jetfireinthesky: It's a mistake in the target computers. and it really adds up to nothing in the long run (Especially if you guys buy a $15 3 incher for ever $5 six incher you buy
Went to Target today, saw the 5 and 15 pricetags, but alas no 6" on the shelf. Looked to my right and saw a lone Prime on one of this red push carty thingies the employees carry stock around on. No Megatron. So I got me a $5 Prime. He's really not so bad for $5. At this price I would've probably gotten Megs too.
Found Prime and Megatron for $5 at my local Target in here in Huntsville, AL too. Scored a Prime and Megs for myself, and a Prime for a friend.
One of the Target stores around me has the pricing backwards. I saw the 6" Tit. Megatron with a $4.99 sticker on the shelf in front of him and he rang up at $4.99 (bought him, MWA HA HA HA). At the same time, the 3" Tit. Unicron had a $14.99 sticker on his peg and he rang up at $14.99 (didn't buy him, MWA HA HA HA). Most places have the 6" TF'ing Tit.s at $14.99 and the 3" Tit.s at $4.99, as they are supposed to be. The $4.99 Megs I picked up was immediately opened so that I could check him out (I already bought one at $14.99 to keep in the box). His arms and crotch were completely disconnected right out of the box, the elbow and wrist joints aren't the least bit tight, and there was a huge gash in the paint job on his back. These things are only worth $4.99, in my opinion. You can almost transform the guy from tank to bot just by shaking him, until you start losing some limbs, that is.
At the regular Target here the shelf tags read $4.99 for the 6" and $14.99 for the 3" but the 6" toys were gone. At the Target Greatland they had the correct prices. I'm assuming planograms are different for Target, Super Target, and Target Greatland. Can those who work for Target confirm that? If that's the case, my theory is that the prices are only messed up on signage at regular Target stores, and the Greatlands and possibly Super Targets have the correct pricing. Just an idea.
I don't even think you can anymore. July 1st TRU adopted the mandatory receipt for return policy most places have. I don' know if they have the 3 returns on your ID policy that target and wal-mart have either.
That's a possbility. I know planograms vary from different store set ups (prorotype stores(my old store) vs. "normal stores"(my new store, and most stores in the area), etc.), but I can't really say that it would make a difference as far as pricing since it's happening all over the country and it's more something to do with the store computer systems than just the signing being wrong.
Okay, forgive me if I'm wrong because it's been about 7 years since I worked at Target, but I always thought the computer systems and the sign printer were connected. So if the computer pricing was wrong, the signs would also be wrong. Could be different now, or maybe I'm just remembering wrong.
