I got it in today. Have to say I like it quite a lot for the sale price it was at. I do wish things were a little bit more "plug n play" like CC, but it's still a nice piece nonetheless.

I know it has the "stand" in ultimate mode but I found strengthening the leg ball joints with some nail polish really made it that much sturdier of a piece. Mine stands on its own now without the flip down stand, so I'm pretty impressed with that.

But yeah still a lot to fiddle around with when I get the chance. Not the "OMG GOTTA HAVE" 3rd party product some are making it out to be, but a pretty cool toy all around.

 

You pretty much feel the same way I do. I also added polish to the ball joint to make it stand better. The hardest time I have is figuring how to display it. Either armored up or just with the sword.

On a side note, if the first edition never sells out, will there be a second run without the extra drift sword???

 

I intend to use some nail polish to tighten up TMII Dinobot, & possibly a few others, so I can get more poses out of them for my comic, but I've never done it before (TMII Dinobot was floppy out of the package when I got him as a kid, so I stuffed paper into the joints, which worked for a while... till the paper began deteriorating from the friction), & have a couple questions.

1) My sis is going to let me use some of hers, but I wanted to make sure L.A. Colors Nailtreatment Megagrow works/ is nail polish (I really don't know)
&
2) Do you just lightly coat the ball & let it dry or what?

 

Never paid attention to the brand to be honest. Lightly coat either the ball or socket, or both. let it dry, then enjoy a figure that stands.

 

yeah my wife just gave me some generic clear coat nail polish. it works great. I coat both the ball joint and the socket and it usually makes a much better connection. works really on any type of loose ball joint.

city folks, y'all know about that target opening by 290? Specifically jackson and aberdeen (racine). drove by there recently and saw the construction.

 

I'm rather pleased with the news of the new Walmart they are going to build in Cicero where Sportsman's Park used to be. Hopefully some other good places will end up there too. Still a good 2 years away from opening at best, that kinda sucks. Construction not set to start until next spring. Something to look forward to though.

More stores, less travelling. Hell yeah!

OK guys.. I think I'm getting tired/bored of the hobby.. Like for real this time. Be on the look out for a lot of G1 and none-domestic show Beast Wars stuff. I think I have some animated, and Generations stuff along with a couple random Animated I still have left. Collecting for me will be MP/BinAlts with G1 counterparts, Domestic Show cast of BW, and Movie stuff. I'll be sure to get you guys a list of everything. Shane, are you at all interested in getting any of the Japanese BW stuff back that you've sold me over the last few years?
