So i was looking at tickets for an upcoming Texas Rangers game here in the DFW area and noticed they're doing a Free Bot Shots promotion night on April 23rd. First 10000 kids 13 and under can get one for free.

I might go to that game anyways. Rangers/Yankees is always a fun game to watch.

i'm sure some old lady passing them out wouldnt care. i'm sure as hell going to try and snag one or two. the only single figure i have is OP. i'm sure they won't have full cases of just him.

I dunno about Rangers' games, but when I've gone to Angels' games they never give the kids-only giveaway to anyone but the kids.

 

Yea, I tried to score a t-shirt at a Mariners game for my buddys kid who got sick the day of the game. Even showed them the extra ticket we had, explained it, and no dice. And it is not like they ended up giving them all away that day, Mariners tickets arnt exactly in demand these days. Rangers on the other hand (especially Rangers v Yankees), and you are looking at a sellout. Not that I collect botshots, but it will be interesting if they just ship in cases, or slap a special sticker or card on them.

 

Didn't they have just-Optimus cases at Toy Fair? I'd expect a similar setup for this baseball promotion, likely with a Rangers sticker somewhere on the card. Though at 10K, it's certainly possible that there was even a special production run of printed Rangers cards.

  So frickin' true. I don't know why, but I find it hard to believe that even in a subline like Bot Shots, they STILL over-produce Bee. Wave 1 Bee, 3-pack Bee, Wave 2 chase Bee. I love the Bot Shots, though, and since I'm planning a summer comic arc involving OP and Bee, it's not toooo terrible... but still, leave room for some other characters, man!!
