Are there many differences between the 2?

You mean between the reprints, or the volumes? The reprints will likely be the same, possibly fixing a typo or two if anything. The volumes are vastly different and both are amazing if you're a fan of Animated.

    This is great news, regardless.

The Allspark Almanacs are the most amazing Transformers book that I saw.
I have both and look something there every week... amazing amazing.

Would be very good if IDW release them hardcover to protect it from the daily use. I would buy it again if released in hardcover. Well... to protect the books I would buy them on Comixology in digital form.

Who am I trying to fool? If available I will buy it in any media. In digital form or hardcover or audio books...

The Addendum stuff is Fun Pub's, though, while the Almanac is IDW's, so I don't see them winding up in a book together.

Also, when you get 'em, y'all don't forget to read the annotations for Volume 1, Volume 2, and the Addendum!

Where is the Addendum stuff available? Was it a physical book? Something in the collector's club magazine? Online?

Yeah, it's in the TFCC magazine, unfortunately.

I only own the second one. I have the first one coming from Amazon when the G1 UK Vol 3 ships this summer. The second one is a dream for anyone who loves the Animated series. The info on where the series was going to go from there was AWESOME as well as the toys. I can't suggest the second one enough. When they are out at 14.99ish a piece they are worth that and then some.

Is there any way to get the TFCC mag with the second Addendum without going through the club?

Yeah, I'd love to read all the Addendum stuff if it's anything like as amazing as the Almanacs are, but I don't particularly feel like dealing with the club.

Well, you COULD have got the first Addendum through your comic shop, since it was published in the Diamond Edition of last year's BotCon comic, which was sold through normal comics retailers. I don't imagine anyone will have any left now, though. Otherwise, short of paying someone who's a member of the club to buy you a copy of the club magazine (which can be done via the store), you're outta luck.

:(  Doesn't the store make you buy a subscription if you're not a member?

Well, that's an awfully hostile way of PUTTING it, but... :)  It's more like "you have to be a member to buy something from the club". I was suggesting you could find someone who is already a member and have them buy it for you.

I've got both, they're both very excellent books so I'm glad this will give people more chances to pick them up.

Oh yeah, I just meant that they add like a $40-50 membership to non members and all that. Not like they pounce you on the sidewalk and stuff you in a van.

Nah, they don't do that to get your membership, that's what they do for your credit card.

You can use prepaid cards to pay your membership :D
After that, you can got TFCC magazines with The Allspark Almanac Addendum.
The Addendum in TFCC magazines have only one problem: too short.

I dunno... I could see it happening, if there is enough demand.

Yes, do check out the rather excellent annotations.

I think there'd be quite a bit of demand. The almanacs are still as popular as ever, selling out no matter how many times they're reprinted. I think as long a decent enough chunk of new content was added, most people who bought the almanacs would go for a collected book.
