Yeah, that was entirely tongue in cheek. My point is rather that Warpath is just not a gap that is crying out to be filled right now (coughcoughGEARScoughcough). :)

Despite the basic resemblances, I think iGear Impactor manages to sidestep crossover/competition with Hasbro's Warpath... which is the real goal. It's kind of a gamble with this sort of thing, because nobody knows for sure what's around the corner (look at the TFC/Maketoy collision) but the pressure to be on top of those "gaps" is pretty key to the success of any 3rd party product. It's very hard to sell people on a product that has a relatively similar, lower-priced official counterpart available. When that happens, it's hard to compete with the big boys... it's better to stay out of the ring, and serve a need that isn't already being served instead.

One thing I'm curious about is whether Takara's new MP line (with Sideswipe) is going to be treading similar territory (size, depth of engineering, G1 accuracy) to iGear's PP line... because that really will be a competition, since pricing will probably be more or less similar (or maybe even cheaper for iGear).

I totally agree with this. Powerglide is another non-essential in my opinion. One day, but not today and not tomorrow.

I would imagine if these guys sell well we'll see Gears, Windcharger etc tacked onto the line to have a complete mini warrior set. Afterall.....we'd all snap 'em up and they know it and they also do seemingly listen to us.

I agree in the updated G1 figure world it seems that it's gonna be pp v mp now. It does appear that TakTom has made a huge shift in direction with the line....intentionally to combat iGear or not who knows....but it will be interesting to see their respective pricing too as we all know mp's aren't cheap at all.

As for Hench being around the size of Bumblebee, IGear needs to take a pic of the two together so we can finally see how they'll look together.

Lat week igear posted finished prototype pictures for Hench, UFO and sharkticon. They just issued a pre-order for the first two, so how long until a pre-order for the sharkticon?

Does anyone have any past experience on pre-orders with igear?

Never! We must have a Powerglide available for every possible size category!! :D

I think the big question right now is how big Takara is going with the MP Autobot cars... we already have an idea of iGear's size and price range based on the Ironhide/Ratchet figures. I think it's going to be close.

I quoted you saying "if true..."

It's true. I wasn't accusing you of lying sir, merely asking what I would have to gain from lying.

Ahhhh, I see, I didn't even realize that you were the poster I was quoting when you quoted me back.:lol

Sorry bud, I didn't mean that to sound like it was you that I was talking about when I said "if true", I just meant that about the info itself. Things change all the time so yeah, sorry.:)

Virtually no outward shoulder movement, and the original joint configuration of the elbows meant that he had forearm/wrist swivels, rather than a far more useful bicep swivel.
