Yeah, it really breaks my heart that I can't get these (especially Cosmos). But I just can't justify the cost. $34 is too much for what these are.

Plus I really am sort of pissed off that Brawn's arms could have gotten to the final production stage at this scale without someone saying "hey, we should fix that"... because other than that I really like the figure. But that one detail is an absolute deal-breaker. :(

So anybody want to take bets that iGear's Sharkticon is going to run $50-$60 at least?

Given the amount of detail and construction, and his apparent size, I wasn't expecting anything less. That's the baseline set by FansProject for that size of figure, and they're the low-end of the spectrum.

Yeah. I have a friend who was desperately hoping Sharkticon would only be around $30, but that mold's got WAY more detail and engineering in it than the Mini-Warriors. When the prices were announced for Hench and UFO, he was pretty disappointed. I was sort of expecting things to go this way, but I was still holding out a little hope that they wouldn't be quite this bad.

I'm hoping iGear goes $45 for the Sharkticon.

They're probably not concerned about a few lost sales here and there.

For every lost sale, there's somebody who'll buy 3 or more for troop building.

    Like me, probably...

Its not about not having money, its about a personal sense of worth. Ill get the Cosmos, Im not really pleased hes so much bigger and hes not worth the price, but i love Cosmos. It will take away from the enjoyment of the figure even though i wont notice the difference in my bank account.

I wish he had more G1 proportions too, the idea he is weak and awkward in normal gravity is part of the characters charm.

    HENCH UPDATE:

The ball-joint problem has been recognized, and fixed in the tooling stage! This is great news for an awesome figure, and should make a lot of people happy!

Not sure how the error was noticed, but if they read the threads like I think all 3rd party companies do, I think it's awesome that TFW feedback has helped make a difference!

That's right, high roller. Some of us don't get off on overspending on plastic toys like real men do. :rolleyes2

Good news... I'm looking forward to seeing the new improved Hench. :D

hench looks good but i wish any third party company would make deluxe sized minibots. lets be honest is any company going to make a scout sized warpath as badass as the deluxe generations one?

Does anyone know if the stand pictured with Cosmos(UFO) is included with the purchase?

I would assume so seeing as it's pictured on the preorder page.

    E-mail them and ask.

edit: Looking at it I think it looks to be specially made for Cosmos so I'm still guessing that it's included.

I think it would be wise for iGear to shuffle Warpath to the back of the line, since the Hasbro one is a pretty tough one to beat. Instead, they're going to try to beat him with their Impactor project. :)

As a side issue... a lot of people have been talking about how Hench is now "as tall as Classics Bumblebee" so he'll fit right in.

I just wanted to point out that due to his back kibble being part of that height, this means that he's still going to look a lot smaller than Classics Bumblebee. Their heads will not be at the same level at all. Personally I feel like Classics Bee is just too big to fit into most Classics/Generations collections anyway, so he represents a false benchmark... but for those who are thinking of these guys being the "same size", get ready for Hench actually looking much smaller.

Bloody awesome that Igear fixed the shoulders and arm joint!
I was in despite his g1-esque arm articulation, but it would have botherd me a lot, now he will be PERFECT.

    Why lie?
Actually scratch that, this is the internet! Give me some TFW infamy!

I love your enthusiasm dude. Respectfully, I don't think IGear are trying to beat anyone, they're just making some kick-ass toys and filling some gaps.
