At the end of DOTM Megatron gets scrapped,now depending on where they go with it his scrap could end up being dumped into space where Unicron could be introduced and hence Galvatron could be formed/made,it only makes sense being no other decepticons lived and any others not in the movies yet are too obscure to lead and keep the intrest of "fans" that only know the bots and cons from the movieverse,they may not have everyone "remade"by unicron but it could work for Megatron/galvatron and would be a good way to introduce unicron,just a thought.
That's a good concept you have. I would prefer a new leader though. Michael Bay changed many of the characters anyway, so he should just introduce an original cast of bots, or a few of the lesser known ones. Megatron already had his run, so bringing him back again feels too repetative. If he gets the Galvatron treatment, it would have to be a complete physical and psychological make-over like the 86' movie.

I had a similar idea. If all the dead decepticons are dumped into space unicron could come across them and rebuild megatron into galvatron and then unicron could give him an army like he did in the 86 movie and also he could revive Soundwave Shockwave and Starscream. It seems the only logical way to bring back all the main decepticons and some new ones
Hot rod and Excillion are 2 completely different characters, they only share a paint scheme and that's it.
Considering Leonard Nimoy voiced Galvatron in the original Transformers movie, they could just go the IDW route and make Galvatron a different bot altogether who was reformatted from Sentinel Prime instead... or they could call him Nemesis Prime, but who would want that?
