Dark of the Moon Skyhammer was by far my favorite toy from that movie. Unfortunately the Bay movies are by far my least favorite transformers series. I would have moved him in with my classics long ago if he didn't have so much of a movie look. The face, odd proportions and three fingered hands left him solidly in the movie-verse, untill now. Now that I have a number of Transformers Prime figures, the wierd hands and long arms work well with my other TF Prime figures. Except for his face he could fit in nicely. So it became clear to me that what he needed was a universe transplant!:D

I figured that I could rip apart the stupid mech-tech gun, and use the blade part to make an arm blade like Optimus and Ratchet. Then I rebuilt the remaining bits to make a new better looking gun. Last but not least I carved down his head and face a bit. To really fit in the prime universe he really needed a smooth noseless face, eyebrows, and the unicorn horn forehead crest like Optimus and Arcee. I took apart the head, painted the eyebrows on the yellow visor, streamlined his helmet, shaped the new horn-crest, and carved down the old face. Now I think he makes a really nice TF Prime figure, and when I get Dreadwing or Skyquake they are going to mave some epic battles.

All the modifications were done using existing parts from Skyhammer, all it took was a screwdriver an exacto knife, some files, superglue and paint.

Nice work! I really dig what you did with his weapons. In fact, I'm probably going to do that to mine tonight. Both look so much better separated. You managed to make one of my favorite modern Transformers even cooler :thumbs2:

i love this mold too... its so versatile, and un bayversable... nice mods on his weapons... i find it stupid that you have to hold down that thing to keep the weapon extended. why isnt there a latch or something?

As a person that has done mods to Skyhammer, very nice. Not the easist toy to repaint.I also love what you did with his weapon.I was more a fan of the blade than the gun.

There is.When you turn the gold part to extend the blade, just turn it to 3' o clock and it should hold its place.

Edit:maybe i have the process wrong...either way, just turn the gold part and it should lock into place.

I really like what you have done here JT.

I have a spare one that I painted the helmet gunmetal gray and the face silver like
the Japanese custom were mistaking for the Tak/Tom version a while back. The work
you have done to his head to retexture it is really good looking.

I also really like wha you did with his weapon. Some damn fine work there as well.

there is. The plunger/button turns 90 degrees and locks when completely pushed down. All of the voyager MT weapons have a locking method.
