Surely living in a country with such an economic crisis as mine sucks [Greece], try getting discharged from obligatory military service where you spent most of your savings because the mighty army pays you 8.9 euros PER MONTH at a distance of 1400 km from your home.

And due to the crisis, all the jobs or almost all of them are gone while you were serving your country and you're left hanging by a thread for over a year. Luckily I had and still have a collection to sell whenever it gets ugly, but I'm sad for army peeps of mine who don't have that...

 

sat for 3 hours last week listening to a woman complain even as she was being waited on hand and foot.
she complained about her phone- which she admitted she never paid for, it was from her daughter- and was too lazy to figure out how to answer it.

That's true, some people just need sit back, take a deep breath and see how much they have. Especially rich people.

 

Oh my god I suffered with cankers for my whole life up to about 25/26 yrs old when I discovered 2 things that have cut my canker incidents down to like 2-3 a YEAR now!

1) Find a toothpaste that doesn't have SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulfate) in it. I know, this sounds like one of those stupid email forwards about shampoo and crap but this one, unlike 99% of those, is actually true. SLS is a foaming agent, that's all. But one side effect is it drys the lining of the mouth and a few studies now have shown that helps cause cankers. Now, almost every brand out there has SLS in it (even some of the organic/ "all natural" ones), including everything Crest or Colgate make. But there are ones that don't - up here in Canada I use one called "Biotene" and it's pricey, but my god has it cut down on cankers!

2) When not in use, store your toothbrush in a jar/bottle/cup of antiseptic mouthwash, like Scope or a generic version.

Serious, I went from 2-3 BAD cankers a month to fewer than 3 a YEAR with those 2 changes. I can't preach this enough to fellow canker sufferers as it has been so awesome to not get them all the time for the past several years!

I'm failing out of school because I can't focus on it... Which is my own damn'd fault but... Eh?

 

If your whole class gets detention for 3 people, then just don't show up, unless you where one of the three  

Anyways, mini-rant:

People thinking that they can be my friend from out of no where, even though I hardly know them and what I do know of them I hate? Then all of your other friends accept them and i'm just sitting there going, "the hell guys?"
Now heres something that really is pissing me off, i'm about a half of the way through my 3rd year of secondary and the schools eqipment is utter shite. Whilst doing Graph Com, I can't save my work because theres not enough disk space. I delete a crap load of stuff and it still wont let me save it. Then the teacher just says that theres nothing that they can do about it and walk off. Having to use those crappy materials when I have better stuff at hom is such torture.
Last thing, my French teacher gets pissed at me because I can't do French well. I haven't a French teacher for a year cause the school couldn't get one, I learnt nothing and forgot loads, quit yer bitchin  
But despite all this, I manage to pass all my subjects (Excpet French)

 

some idiot decieded it was ok to back up into mom's car and drive off. he is lucky she didn't get his liscense plate or he would get nice visit from the cops. and my aunt calls my mom during this rly rly rly stupid show called Survivor (that is a rant all its own) and talk how "good" it is. the only way that show could get good is if they cancel it. and now i won't hear the end of it for the rest of this week when mom and dad talk about it.

I have a bunch of vintage postcards in my shoppe one of which depicts the 3 stooges holding a camera and a sign that says 3 photos $1.00
A man wanted to know how much for the postcard I told him they are $2 each loose or $5each framed.. now this complete madman turns to me and says "it says here $1" referring to the sign the stooges are holding up. while it may not seem like that big of a deal people try to pull this crap all the time.

Customer: How much is this comic book?
B'Bantor: Theres a price sticker on it, it's $3.
Customer: But it says here 60 cents? (points to original cover price of 30 year old comic)

Customer: You have any angry birds in here?
B'Bantor: (Speaking with fake Russian accent) Here! Is bird! You buy it! You shake and make it angry! (Grabs boxed Furby and shakes package violently)

Today as I was standing in the doorway getting a breath of fresh air 3 boys who looked about 13 strolled up to me and asked if I had any "porno" available.

Oh.. and if you love me so much EMILY!!! How come you don't come 'round no mo? WTFFFFFFF

Hey, I'm just gonna rant for real, don't mind me.

I currently attend a conservatory for a BFA in musical theatre. My entire high school career was spent being in shows and trying to please my parents, because they thought the way I spent my free time was childish and immature, so I had to find some outlet that they actually liked me doing. I neglected the one true thing I love, visual arts and animation, so I could further myself in something I have no dream for, no goal that satisfies me. I at LEAST have a dream that I want in visual arts, and the community would be more accepting of my oddities and interests because they actually apply to the craft.

But I've been going to this college for three years, now. I'm three years in debt. To leave and pursue something else that may or may not take me three MORE years of school. But at least I would be in a place that makes me happy, right?

My parents think that finishing out my degree at this school is my best option, just in case I end up NOT liking what I'm actually passionate about. I don't see that happening, but honestly, up until now I wasn't really sure what I wanted. I had to re-evaluate my goals to see what I actually DID want, and I know that it's not musical theatre. This archaic, close-minded environment and profession is killing me. I'll never be able to write fantastic stories that are in my mind in this medium- theatre attendees are just not interested in such ideas- they don't start well on stage.

Anyway. That's all I got right now. That's a weight off my chest.

 

Fellow student doctor: "So... what did you get up to during nursing home duty? I'd like to get an idea; I'm on there next week."

Me: "Took obs, helped the residents perambulate, helped shower them, made their beds, made their meals, gave them their meds. I enjoyed it; the staff and residents were very nice and appreciative."

Fellow student doctor (puts on look of disgust): "Ugh. That stuff ought to be left to the nurses."

mom is rly sick. so i am going to have the fun of trying to get her to eat!! i am going to have to go and get a baby blanket for my mom's general manager for her baby shower b4 my interview and then run it out to mom's work afterwards.

Me: "... no. It's because that bed is the only currently empty bed in the goddamned A and E."

 

well mom is improving a bit she is "resting her eyes" right now. it looks like she is going in and out of sleep which is rly good for her cuz she had absolutly no sleep last night but i am still worried about her. i hope this is just her anti biotic acting up.

 

my mom has cancer. breast, liver, spinal, brain, and im pretty sure she has a tumor in her hip. the doctors say they cant do anything else. my little brother may not remember what a great person she is.

i just recently lost 6 of my closest friends over a fight about something, i cant remember what anymore...

i spent about 50 dollars on a birthday present for my ex boyfriend. he dumped me the day after i bought the gift. the day he dumped was also the day i got the news of my moms condition.

this is super personal but i dont have anyone to talk to since i just lost my closest friends, so i thought why the hell not just post it in the forums?
