Has anyone else noticed that the magma frag is over powered? or is this just me it just seems its power is incredible and people who use are ussualy the ones to get the most kills...

So is it just me or is the magma frag way to overpowerd

 

Its VERY overpowered, it kills a scientist and a scout in 1 hit ! WTF ?!

 

It's also the hardest to aim, so there's your tradeoff.

 

I don't get what is so Overpowered about the gun. I tried it once to test it, and the frags were insanely slow when I shot them...

It also doesnt matter about your aim since the splash damage is really large.

 

You really dont need to aim with it.. just fire randomly and the blast radius will do enough damage.. just like the fusion cannon.. spammers bunny hop and just fire at the ground, anyone surrounding will get damaged. The frag does enough damage even when you are not hit directly with it but if you do get 1 or 2 stuck on you its an automatic death, unless you have flak armor.

 

It is overpowered. End of story. Only thing you can really do is switch to a class with flak armor, and even then, it takes two or three warcry enhanced magma frags to kill someone with flak armor.

 

In Escalation it's a bit different. The hard to aim thing is a real detraction because it means you have to open yourself up to fire in order to launch them into a group or at an enemy effectively and frags used by the Tanks don't do enough damage to kill you in one shot.

Employee 2: Yeah, I find that the Null Ray is a tad overpowered. One shot to the head is too much.
1: But what about the Magma Frag-
2: Yup, gotta nerf that Null Ray, we can't have cowboys runnin' and gunnin' with that sort of weapon.
1: Yeah but-
Employee 3: Hey guys have you guys seen how overpowered the Null Ray is?
2: We've got to nerf it right?
3: Right

I just started spamming this weapon myself. Works quite well.

 

I'm tired of getting nailed by those leaders, and the melee system ain't that great. I'm a bad aim.

 

Hate that gun. I use a Scout most and I can't kill strong chassis without some difficulty. This makes it hard to fight the soldier but Leaders just need the chance to hit me with that Frag Launcher and I'm dead. The strength and speed of the Leader combined with it having the best automatic gun and being able to counter the stun grenade with the molecular bomb makes them hard enough to kill. they don't need that gun.

 

Is it just me, or is Soundwave somehow a better leader to play as?

 

Using a Scout with Dash helps against the Frag Launcher. If you're using Mark Target and Cloak, then you're going to get killed faster against it. It's not that the gun is overpowered or not; the problem is people don't adapt to the situation.
