The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - 9/10. Liked everything about it except for the awful Bryan Ferry cover at the end.

Just bought this and plan on watching it tonight. I love Fincher, and I'm thinking this might of been my favorite movie of 2011.

    Enemy at the Gates- 7/10
This movie starts off well, but it kinda slumps in the middle because not much really happens. The love story could have been done much better, but it wasn't awful and it didn't take up a lot of screen time. The sniper scenes were extremely intense and easily the best parts of the movie. The film really kicks into gear in the last 35 minutes and you finally get to know the characters a lot better than you did in the second act. The acting was good and no one gave a bad performance.

My least liked TF movie. Still not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

David Fincher does it again. Fantastic film. Easily as good, if not better than Social Network, though I believe I still like Zodiac the best. This film seriously got shafted at the Oscars. Best movie of 2011 by far, and I can't wait for the next two films in the series.

A wonderfully strange movie. It's about a viral outbreak, of sorts, told from the perspective of a morning radio news host who is on the air as things go down. It takes a few odd turns here and there, but some parts of this movie are unbelievably chilling. Features a couple of really outstanding performances too.

The Three Musketeers(2011): 8/10 It wasn't too bad, I liked it. It lost a few points for a couple things that made no sense(the laser wires scene), but gained points because it had Milla in it.

Let's face it, this is anything but high art. It's an entertaining way to kill two hours and it had me laughing quite a bit actually. I did not expect Al Pacino to be in a movie like this and he was one of the highlights. There were tons of celebrity cameos that were funny and surprising. Some jokes were funny, others had me rolling my eyes.

I endlessly enjoy this film. The editing and acting is some of the best of any movie. Eisenberg should have beaten Firth easily for best actor.

    The Muppets 5 or 6/10:

I just could not enjoy this movie. It was charming and sweet and had some really great performances, but something was missing for me. I don't know what it is, exactly, but it just didn't grab me and entertain me as much as I had hoped it would.

It was GREAT to see the Muppets together again, some of the jokes were funny, and the cameos were fantastic, but all in all....just not impressed.

I can see why people enjoyed it, but it just wasn't for me. I couldn't sit through it again if you paid me.

While I'm not familiar with the comic version of GL..only from the Justice League animated series...I thought taken at face value this movie was pretty well done..loved the special effects..and thought the story moved along quickly and the cast was pretty good in their parts too.

    The Lorax 5/10.

A complicated message delivered in an overly simplified and dumb-downed fashion. The original cartoon and book were profound as they functioned as a storyteller's warning, execution short and stark: the carelessness and uncompromising manners of corporations and unguarded capitalism will ruin nature. The original cartoon was straight to the punch. You just can't make a Hollywood movie out of that. You just can't. They tried but ended up failing harder than the Once-ler's business.

A documentary about the 1982 video game world record holders. It documents how the scores were compiled, who earned them, who lied about their scores, and the arcade in Iowa where they all converged for one day. An endlessly fantastic showcase of amazing video game achievements in the age before any digital communications. A great look at the players back then and now, with a surprising amount of footage from 1981 - 1984. Really worth checking out if you grew up in the early 90's before NES-era console gaming found it's place.

I was about to post the same thing. I just watched this the other night, and what you said summed up my feelings as well.

Puss in Boots - 7/10 - better than the last two Shrek movies but still not nearly as good as Shrek 1 or 2. It had some good parts but overall just ok.

American Reunion - 6/10. Funny in parts, kind of lame in others. Certainly not as good as the first 2. It's probably close to, if not quite the quality of American Wedding. Easily better than all the other straight to DVD "American Pie" movies.
