I actually liked Karai, and I think this movie would be better with her, Hun and Tasu (sp?) being Shredder's trusted lieutenants. I reckon the first movie balanced this pretty well by keeping their colors fom the cartoon and the pizza thing but they were still arse kicking dudes. I got a colored in trade paperback of the first turtle comics; their fight with Shredder was EPIC! That's just dumb.

No, it was a very loose sequel to the movies, and had nothing to do with the 2k3 toon. Absolutely no canon whatsoever with the 2k3 toon, and this is coming from the director. There is a huge website/forum dedicated to the green machine, and they were lucky to have a chance to talk to the director of the movie, and to get all of the details. It's known as The Technodrome.
Ya know, them being aliens isn't that absurd considering the amount of aliens in the continuity. Maybe Krang is responsible for them being gigantic turtles this time round?
I'm a member of the technodrome but he never said it was a sequel to the movies (and I am not 100% they really talked to the actual director, as a lot of people aren't)

Okay guys, can someone explain what exactly is so bad about this? I can see why people would dislike, but ultimately it changes very little on their origin, they go from "lost mutant turtles raised by a rat" to "lost alien turtles raised by a rat", what's the big deal? Genuine question here.
