Online retailers are being solicited for a Hasbro reissue Soundwave by wholesalers overseas. It's also been mentioned that it may once again be a Toys R Us exclusive, and that the packaging will be different. Stay tuned for more on this as more information becomes available.

I thought the hasbro panel said no more reissues last week? I'm not complaining though if it's true. The more soundwave the better!

Its either random Internet rumors or damage control for the Nemesis Prime fiasco.

Will it be diecast like the reissue of 20th anniversary OP will be?

Wouldn't surprise me, with Soundwave going for so much right now when dealers do have him in stock. Hasbro would be better off with this on HTS ... oh wait.

If it's a reissue, then it'll be like the original.

Nice. Although I already have 2 of the Takara release, I would probably buy one of these...I love me some Soundwave.

But I got a better idea for damage control for the Nemesis Prime fiasco...Make another run.

    Please let this be true.

Considering how disappointing that Titanium monstrosity looks, I would desparately love for this to be fact, rather than fiction. Soundwave was easily among the best G1 toys, and IMO he still holds up well today.

Of course, as this rumor is good news, it is also undoubtedly false.

I was one of the online retailers contacted this morning concerning the re-issue Soundwave. I shared the e-mail with Super_Megatron and a few others, and since I have used the wholesaler in question before for many items, including many hard to get items and previous exclusives, I tend to trust the source

Another plus could be additional tapes? Or maybe future releases of the remaining tapes?

Could be a very good thing, I see nothing wrong with more people being able to get a Soundwave no matter what I paid for mine. And I have two, plus a Soundblaster and I am all for this.

I hope this isn't a case of someone seeing the Titanium version and mistaking it for something else.

This would be pretty neat, I passed on Soundwave suspecting the Soundblaster re-release. I would welcome, very much, a chance to get another at a reasonable price.

However, I suspect this is simply the titanium version.

The original 1984 Soundwave is not diecast. Just his feet.

I really hope this is true.

Would be great. Even if Hasbro Aus charge heaps for it like they did with other reissues (and I passed) this is the toy I'd love to have. TFC Soundblaster is nice, but he's just not Soundwave :D

Truly bizarre. Sounds like it could be the Titanium figure. (And I do agree that Titanium Soundwave looks pretty bad).

    If it's a re-issue, then sweet.

Someone else at Seibertron got an e-mail like the one I got this morning as well, so if it is not true, a lot of people are being notified already that it is coming

Aside from his hips (which are obviously mistransformed), what is so bad about the Titanium Soundwave?
